The 2025 International Conference on Artificial Intelligence and Semiconductors (AISC) officially opened on March 12 in Hanoi. The event was organized by Aitomatic in collaboration with the National Innovation Center (NIC), marking an important step forward for Vietnam in the field of AI and semiconductors.
For the first time, more than 1,000 leaders and experts with the participation of big names such as Google, NVIDIA, IBM, Meta, Intel, TSMC, Samsung, MediaTek, Tokyo Electron, Panasonic, Qorvo, Marvell and technology corporations from Silicon Valley (USA) gathered at AISC 2025, affirming Vietnam's position in the global AI and semiconductor industry.
The conference takes place from March 12 to 14, 2025, with thematic seminars, technology exhibitions, policy forums and investment connection activities.
The highlight was the discussion session on " semiconductor technology revolution - artificial intelligence" and "Convergence of semiconductors and artificial intelligence: Breakthrough factors creating a new cycle of opportunities", along with the forum "Vietnam proactively develops the semiconductor and artificial intelligence industry in the new era" with the participation of the Prime Minister.
In his opening speech, Mr. Vu Quoc Huy - Director of the National Innovation Center - emphasized that the International Conference on Artificial Intelligence and Semiconductors is an academic exchange forum, an opportunity for Vietnam to affirm its position in the regional technology race.
This event will help domestic enterprises orient their development strategies, improve their innovation capacity and promote sustainable development of the high-tech industry.

Dr. Christopher Nguyen - founder of Aitomatic - affirmed: "The efforts of the Vietnamese Government in promoting the development of AI and semiconductors are showing the right direction, in line with the shifting trend of the global technology value chain".
According to Mr. Christopher Nguyen, the AISC 2025 Conference shows the strong interest of the international community, affirming Vietnam's appeal as a strategic destination in the high-tech sector.
On the first day of the conference, SemiKong - an open source AI model jointly developed by Aitomatic, Tokyo Electron and FPT Software - was introduced, marking an important step forward in the technological mastery of domestic enterprises, opening up opportunities for Vietnam to participate more deeply in the global semiconductor manufacturing value chain.
The SemiKong model is designed to optimize chip production, contributing to improving productivity and accuracy in the semiconductor industry.

The AISC 2025 conference also brought breakthrough perspectives on innovation in AI chip design. Scientists from Google DeepMind, Stanford University and 2025, presented the AlphaChip - a groundbreaking advance in microchip design.
In addition, the opening session also discussed open source AI, AI application in banking and high-tech development opportunities in Vietnam with representatives from VPBank.
At the end of the opening session, for the first time in Vietnam, businesses participating in the AISC Conference participated in the International Startup Pavilion - Shark tank program, where leading investment funds directly listened to and evaluated creative ideas.
Here, domestic technology companies are quickly connected with senior leaders, presented projects within limited time and can reach important agreements right at the conference, participating in the global technology market.
