
At 1-22 p.m. on June 14, VinaPhone issued a notice about the incident of no service or no display of the signal bar of many users encountered at noon on June 14.
In the announcement, VinaPhone confirmed that the network encountered technical problems in some areas and is working to fix them to soon bring the service back to normal. At the same time, the unit also apologized to customers.
According to Lao Dong, many people have reported information about the VinaPhone network losing signal on a large scale, from many provinces in the Northern region to Ho Chi Minh City. They cannot contact relatives and friends when the signal is completely gone. In some other cases, subscribers still have mobile waves but are unstable, the speed of Internet access is very slow.
In Ho Chi Minh City, a similar situation is happening. Talking to Lao Dong, Ms. Vy Dang, who is living and working in District 7, said: "I have had a problem with the VinaPhone network since morning, the phone is still connected but unstable. The Internet access speed is very slow, only displaying 3G network. I have to wait a long time to send messages online or post photos on social networks.
However, in some other areas in Ho Chi Minh City, VinaPhone subscribers are still operating normally. Ms. My Loan, a doctor working in Phu Nhuan, said: "My VinaPhoneyenyen is still operating normally, without any problems".
At around 2:00 p.m. the same day, some subscribers had the signal back but were still in a state of being unstable and could not be contacted.
Previously, in February 2023, VinaPhone network also encountered a signal outage in some areas in the North, causing users to be unable to text, call or use 4G.
VinaPhone is one of the largest mobile network operators in Vietnam. The network operator will officially provide VinaPhone 5G service from December 20, 2024.
