On the afternoon of March 13, the Traffic Police Department (CSGT, Ministry of Public Security) said that the Department has coordinated with functional units under the Ministry of Public Security to develop a feature to notify driver's licenses (GPLX) that are about to expire on the VNeTraffic application.
Accordingly, for accounts (level 2) with expired driver's licenses 30 days in advance, the system will notify them by text message guiding procedures on the Public Service Portal or to the Ward and Commune Police where they reside to be guided on how to carry out renewal procedures.
From March 1, 2026 to now, the VNeTraffic system has notified 178,636 driver's license expiry messages for people with level 2 accounts.
Currently, the VNeTraffic application has more than 6 million accounts, of which 5.3 million accounts are level 2.
