Pre-workout drink: Athletes and sportsmen may benefit from drinking egg coffee before a workout. The caffeine helps boost physical performance, while the eggs provide essential protein for muscle recovery.
Cases where you should avoid drinking egg coffee
Sharing the same view, Ms. Ramya B - a nutritionist at Cloudnine Hospital (Bengaluru, India) - added that although egg coffee is nutritious, it is not suitable for everyone.
People with egg allergies should avoid it, as it can cause reactions ranging from mild skin irritation to severe anaphylaxis.
Additionally, pregnant women, children, and people with compromised immune systems should avoid egg coffee due to the risk of salmonella contamination from undercooked eggs.
People sensitive to caffeine may experience tremors or indigestion, and those with high cholesterol or heart disease should consume in moderation due to the cholesterol content in eggs.
