The liver is an organ that performs many important functions such as metabolizing nutrients, producing bile and processing harmful substances before they are eliminated from the body.

From a physiological perspective, the liver has the ability to perform the detoxification process itself. However, when liver function is affected or the body is subjected to many impacts from alcohol, unhealthy diet or some diseases, taking care of and supporting liver health becomes necessary.

Many people believe that symptoms such as fatigue, acne, heat in the body or indigestion are signs that the liver is accumulating toxins. In fact, these are non-specific symptoms and may stem from many different causes.

But if these symptoms persist, especially when accompanied by anorexia, bloating, nausea or a feeling of pressure in the right hypochondrium, you should go to a medical facility for a liver function check. This is a more accurate assessment than self-diagnosis or using products advertised as liver detoxification.

More serious signs such as jaundice, yellow eyes, dark urine, discolored stools, prolonged itching, or unexplained weight loss may be related to liver or bile duct diseases. When these symptoms appear, early examination is needed to identify the cause and treat them promptly, instead of just focusing on detoxification measures.

To support liver function effectively, the most important thing is to maintain a healthy lifestyle. Limit alcohol and beer, do not smoke, eat more green vegetables, fruits, whole grains, control weight and exercise regularly will help reduce the burden on the liver. At the same time, only use medicine according to the doctor's instructions, avoid abusing functional foods or unverified folk remedies.

There are no signs that the body definitely needs to detoxify the liver. Instead of resorting to unproven liver cleansing methods, everyone should focus on protecting the liver with a scientific lifestyle and periodic health check-ups.

When abnormal symptoms or risk factors appear, examination and necessary tests will be the safest and most effective solution to protect liver health.
