Last September, storm No. 3 (Yagi) made landfall, causing heavy damage to the northern provinces and cities. Joining hands to share with local people, union members and employees of EVNSPC contributed nearly 14 billion VND to support people affected by storms and floods.
The work of caring for the lives, supporting and helping the disadvantaged, poor households, and policy families in 21 southern provinces and cities has always been focused on by EVNSPC and its member units. Many practical activities and good models have been implemented by EVNSPC's power companies, contributing to helping households alleviate some of their difficulties.
In 2024, EVNSPC and its member power companies will support the construction of 28 houses of gratitude and love (each house worth 50 million VND) for households with housing difficulties, with a total amount of 1.4 billion VND in the provinces: Bac Lieu, Ca Mau, Ben Tre, Dong Thap, Hau Giang, Kien Giang, Lam Dong, Long An, Soc Trang, Tay Ninh, Tra Vinh and Vinh Long.
Bac Lieu Power Company has allocated 250 million VND from the social security fund contributed by the employees to build a rural bridge for people in Cay Gua hamlet, Vinh Hau A commune, Hoa Binh district; Ben Tre Power Company supported the construction of Trang Viet 17 bridge for people in Giong Trom district; Binh Phuoc Power Company implemented the "Piggy Bank" model, creating a fund to donate to social organizations, poor families, support the Charity Kitchen of Binh Phuoc General Hospital, build the "Border Light" project at Dak O Border Post...
On the occasion of the recent Lunar New Year of Giap Thin, many power companies under EVNSPC also organized "Zero-VND Booths - Spring of Love", supporting poor families, those in difficult circumstances, donating money to buy necessities, food... for poor patients undergoing treatment to have a warm and meaningful Tet.
In addition, during holidays, Tet, War Invalids and Martyrs Day, EVNSPC and its member units also regularly visit and give gifts to poor households, policy families, Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, etc.
At the same time, social security and community activities are also regularly organized such as: Donating blood, giving scholarships to students who have overcome difficulties to study well, donating used clothes to the "5K Booth", raising funds to support students in difficult circumstances, supporting health insurance cards for poor households; implementing lighting up rural roads - installing new high-pressure solar bulbs on all rural roads.
At the same time, repair and replace electrical equipment for free for policy households and families in difficult circumstances, coordinate with fire prevention and fighting police in wards, communes and cities in the area to "go to every alley, knock on every door" to inspect, guide and support people and organizations to manage and use electricity safely, economically and effectively...
Through specific and practical activities, EVNSPC has been joining hands and sharing, spreading love, contributing a small part to help those in difficult circumstances to rise up, adding more faith and love in life.
