Then, at 6:30 p.m. on May 22, Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Nguyen Van Duoc and Vice Chairman Vo Van Hoan received leaders of the Trump Organization Group.
According to the document from the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Foreign Affairs, Kinh Bac Urban Development Corporation (KBC) and Saigon Investment Group are currently coordinating to promote the implementation of the Trump Vietnam project in Ho Chi Minh City.
Previously, the two sides had a meeting with city leaders in March 2025 to discuss the project.
In the framework of this visit and work, the delegation from the US is expected to survey Thu Thiem new urban area - the location proposed to build Trump Tower building. At the same time, the delegation expressed his desire to work with the city leaders to continue discussing the orientation and progress of the project implementation.
Previously, at a working session with Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh in March 2025, Mr. Charles James Boyd bowman - General Director of the Trump Organization Group's project in Vietnam wanted to accelerate the 1.5 billion USD project in Hung Yen province; hoping to complete the project in the next 2 years (March 2027) to serve the APEC 2027 occasion, becoming the leading golf course in Vietnam and a globally famous golf destination.
The high-end urban, eco-tourism, sports and golf course complex project in Hung Yen province, providing services according to the highest standards of the Trump Organization, with a total estimated investment of about 1.5 billion USD, proposed by the investor is a joint venture of Hung Yen Investment and Development Group Joint Stock Company and IDG Capital (representative of Trump Organization).
The company is researching investment in other projects and fields in Vietnam; promoting the visits of the Trump Group's Board of Directors to Vietnam and contributing to promoting bilateral relations, building a high-quality image of Vietnam with the world and the US government.
