According to the latest update from Forbes, the total assets of the 5 richest billionaires in Vietnam are nearly 48 billion USD.

According to Forbes updates, the assets of Vietnamese billionaires in the ranking of the richest people on the planet have increased, reflecting the positive developments of business and market values.

Mr. Pham Nhat Vuong's net worth - Chairman of Vingroup is currently estimated at 34.4 billion USD, an increase of about 400 million USD compared to the update on July 2. Notably, not only increasing in asset value, Mr. Vuong's ranking has also improved significantly, currently he holds the 62nd position in the world.

With this asset level, Mr. Pham Nhat Vuong has now surpassed billionaire Jack Ma - the founder of Alibaba Group, who owns about 26.4 billion USD according to Forbes real-time data.

Mr. Pham Nhat Vuong's asset increase mainly came from the positive developments of VIC shares on the Vietnamese stock market. In the trading session on July 13, although VIC code slightly decreased around 222,800 VND/share (adjusted price), it was still on track to approach the historical peak and attracted large cash flow.

Correctional developments also appeared simultaneously in stocks in the ecosystem. VHM shares slightly decreased to the maximum range of 143,900 VND/share, while VPL maintained positive trading around the 82,000 VND/share area.

The "Vingroup" stock group, especially VIC and VHM, continued to play a pillar role, contributing to supporting VN-Index to maintain green color in the session. At the same time, Vingroup's capitalization continued to improve, consolidating its position in the group of largest enterprises in the market.

Domestically, Mr. Pham Nhat Vuong still maintains the position of the richest person in Vietnam, with asset values fluctuating according to the developments of key stocks in the Vingroup ecosystem, and is also one of the billionaires with significant influence in Southeast Asia.

Following Mr. Pham Nhat Vuong is Ms. Nguyen Thi Phuong Thao - Chairwoman of Vietjet Air's Board of Directors. Currently, Ms. Thao owns assets worth 4.1 billion USD, a slight decrease of 58 million USD compared to the update at Forbes previously. In the global rankings, Ms. Nguyen Thi Phuong Thao is ranked 1,021st.

Ms. Pham Thu Huong - Vice President of Vingroup Group with assets worth 3.9 billion USD, a slight decrease of 5 million USD compared to the previous Forbes update. Currently, she ranks 1,105th in the world.

Next, Ms. Pham Thuy Hang - Vice President of Vingroup Group owns assets worth 2.7 billion USD, down 4 million USD. Ms. Hang is currently ranked 1,526th in the world.

At the bottom of the list is Mr. Tran Dinh Long - Chairman of Hoa Phat Group, holding assets of about 2.5 billion USD, ranking 1,634th in the global billionaire list.
