According to the latest Forbes richest people on the planet ranking, the net assets of billionaire Pham Nhat Vuong - Chairman of Vingroup Corporation on November 19 increased by 1.39% to 20.4 billion USD, ranking 118th in the world's richest people ranking.

The assets of the richest billionaire in Vietnam continue to increase in the context of Vingroup (VIC) shares maintaining a positive increase. The session on November 18 witnessed a strong tug-of-war in the market, cautious cash flow and differentiated width. However, large-cap stocks, especially the "Vin couple", still play a supporting role, helping the VN-Index maintain green.

Entering the session on November 19, the market picture of the real estate group was leaning towards red when only 1 code increased the ceiling, 18 codes increased prices but was overwhelmed by 56 codes decreased. In the context of the whole industry being "on fire", VIC became a rare fulcrum when helping to curb the group's decline, thereby causing the industry index to decrease slightly by 0.29% to 101.06 points.

At the time of closing the session on November 19, VIC continued to make its mark when it increased 0.23% to VND 220,500/share, becoming a prominent bright spot for the entire market. This code alone has attracted 0.45 points for the VN-Index, continuing to affirm its pivotal role in the context of cautious cash flow and existing adjustment pressure.

Since the beginning of the year, VIC shares have increased by nearly 420%, bringing Vingroup's capitalization to over VND 847,000 billion. Thanks to that, the group continues to maintain its position as the enterprise with the largest market capitalization and is one of the important contributors to the overall increase of Vietnamese stocks in recent times.

Mr. Pham Nhat Vuong was first included in Forbes' billionaire list in 2016, when his assets were estimated at 1.8 billion USD. In early 2025, according to the annual billionaire list of Forbes announced on January 4, Mr. Pham Nhat Vuong owns 6.5 billion USD, an increase of 2.1 billion USD compared to 2024.

By mid-April, his assets had increased to about 8 billion USD, according to Forbes, thanks to the impressive recovery of VIC and VFS stocks - two stock codes associated with the Vingroup and VinFast ecosystems.

In early November, Mr. Pham Nhat Vuong's net assets continued to increase by 2.34%, reaching 19.3 billion USD and making him the 125th richest person in the world, surpassing many famous businessmen in the Asian region.
