From August 15 to September 12, the Department of Ethnic Minorities and Religions (DT&TG) of Ho Chi Minh City continued to organize the sending of 3 delegations of prestigious people among ethnic minorities (DTTS) in the city to provinces and cities to work, exchange and learn experiences on ethnic affairs.
After completing the experience learning sessions, the Department of DT&TG will comprehensively summarize to further improve the effectiveness of policy implementation for reputable people in Ho Chi Minh City.
City Party Committee member, Director of the Department of DT&TG Lam Dinh Thang, emphasized: "Reputable people are a reliable support, a model force and an important bridge to bring the Party's guidelines and policies, and the State's laws into the lives of ethnic minorities. Organizing delegations to exchange and learn experiences in 2026 not only shows gratitude for the persistent contributions of reputable people but also creates space for reputable people to exchange and learn good practices. The Department of DT&TG requires that the organization work must be thoughtful, practical, and absolutely safe, thereby adding motivation for reputable people to continue to accompany the overall development of the city.
The program sends prestigious people among ethnic minorities to study experiences in provinces and cities across the country, with a scale of 300 delegates (including 260 prestigious people and 40 organizing and serving members). This activity aims to concretize the ethnic policies of the Party and the State; recognize, honor and encourage the important contributions of the prestigious people. Through this, the program helps to foster knowledge, update information and replicate good models so that this force continues to promote its core and exemplary role, acting as a solid bridge between Party committees, authorities and ethnic minorities.
As of August 12, the Department of Logistics and Technology of Ho Chi Minh City has successfully organized 3/6 delegations with a total of 150 members (including 131 reputable people). The delegations have fully completed the contents and programs set out, ensuring safety, practicality and for the right purpose.
Accordingly, in Hanoi Capital, the delegations respectfully organized the Memorial Service to President Ho Chi Minh's Mausoleum; visited the Village of Culture - Tourism of Vietnamese Ethnic Groups and the Vietnam Military History Museum. This is a practical activity to foster patriotism, national pride, and enhance the responsibility of prestigious people in preserving and promoting traditional cultural values.
In Ninh Binh province, the delegations had working sessions, exchanged experiences with state management agencies on ethnic affairs; learned about socio-economic development models, preserved cultural identity and maintained security and order at the grassroots level. At the same time, the delegation surveyed models of community tourism development associated with heritage conservation at Trang An, Tam Coc - Bich Dong scenic complex, Bai Dinh Pagoda, Tam Chuc Pagoda and offered incense to commemorate heroic martyrs.
Through the 3 delegations organized, delegates highly appreciated the content and organization of the program; and at the same time had more conditions to exchange, exchange and absorb practical experiences from localities. The information and experience received are the basis for reputable people to apply appropriately to the actual situation in residential areas, contributing to improving the effectiveness of propaganda and mobilization of people and performing well the assigned roles.
