The People's Committee of Cao Bang province has just issued Decision 1333/QD-UBND on the establishment of a system of 56 commune and ward health stations and 116 health stations under the Provincial Health Center, to improve the quality of health care for people after the rearrangement of commune-level administrative units.
According to the decision, the health stations and health points will officially come into operation from July 1, 2025. During the transfer period (30 days from the effective date of the decision), these units will continue to operate according to their current functions.
The Department of Health of Cao Bang province is responsible for coordinating with relevant agencies to resolve issues of personnel, finance, assets and land.
Medical centers are responsible for returning the seals of health stations subject to rearrangement to the police for revocation according to regulations, ensuring transparency and legality in the conversion process.
This Decision replaces Decision No. 1483/QD-UBND (14.8.2020) and Decision No. 1749/QD-UBND (25.11.2022) on the establishment, renaming and arrangement of commune and ward health stations under district health centers.
The Chief of Office of the Cao Bang Provincial People's Committee, Directors of the Departments of Health, Home Affairs, and Finance, along with leaders of localities and related units must coordinate to effectively implement this decision.
The expansion of the grassroots health network is expected to help people, especially in remote areas, access more convenient and timely health care services in the new situation.
