On February 17, the Department of Health announced that the unit had just coordinated with the Kien Giang Health Sector Trade Union to organize a Sports Festival to celebrate the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam (February 3, 1930), the 70th anniversary of Vietnam Doctors' Day (February 27,55), and the 115th anniversary of International Women's Day (March 8, 1930).
The sports festival with folk games attracted the enthusiastic response of all civil servants, public employees, and workers in the health sector. The sports festival is also an opportunity for health workers to exercise while creating conditions for exchanges, meetings, maintaining solidarity between units, creating a joyful, united and enthusiastic atmosphere in work.
The sports festival has 26 teams with 650 athletes from units in the entire Kien Giang Health Sector. These are athletes who have been selected from units and affiliated grassroots trade unions to participate in industry-level sports competitions.
Athletes participated wholeheartedly in a spirit of solidarity through competitions such as throwing balls into baskets, driving the ball through stakes, passing the ball with a spoon, and explosive balls to give strength.
In the final results, the Trade Union of the Center for Disease Control of Kien Giang province won first prize in the relay explosive ball; the Trade Union of Vinh Thuan District Medical Center won first prize in the ball throwing in the basket; the Trade Union of the An Bien District Medical Center won first prize in the ball passing by stake; the Trade Union of the Obstetrics and Pediatrics Hospital won first prize in the lemon passing mon.
