Towards the 25th anniversary of Vietnamese Family Day (June 28, 2001 - June 28, 2026), the Village of Culture - Tourism of Vietnamese Ethnic Groups organizes a series of June activities with the theme "Family Day" from June 1 - 30, 2026 in Dong Mo, Hanoi.
The event brings a unique cultural exchange space, contributing to spreading the good values of the family and strengthening the connection of Vietnamese ethnic communities.
Participating in the program are more than 100 ethnic minorities from 16 ethnic groups from many localities across the country such as Tay, Nung, Dao, Mong, Muong, Ba Na, E De, Gia Rai, Khmer...
Activities are organized throughout the month with many contents experiencing culture, folk art, cuisine and traditional crafts.
The highlight will be the program introducing the cultural and tourism colors of Gia Lai province with the participation of Ba Na people. In which, the Som Kơcham festival is recreated to introduce the ritual of praying for peace, driving away evil and expressing the spirit of community solidarity of the Ba Na people.
The festival space also features gong and chieng exchange activities, xoang dance, folk songs and dance performances, and many traditional folk games. Visitors have the opportunity to directly experience brocade weaving, weaving, sculpting, learning about bamboo and rattan musical instruments, and discovering the cultural beauty of the Central Highlands.
In addition, the program "Vietnamese Family Home" with the participation of families from Hung Yen also brings many meaningful activities. Members of many generations exchange, introduce family lifestyles, perform traditional art and participate in preparing typical dishes with the Central Highlands people.
Many attractive ethnic dishes such as bamboo rice, bitter eggplant soup, grilled meat, grilled chicken... are introduced to tourists through the experience activity "Cooking with the Central Highlands people". This is not only a culinary activity but also contributes to strengthening the bond between family members and the community.
Throughout June, groups of ethnic minorities operating daily in the Village also organized many cultural exchange programs with Then singing, dan tinh, xoe dance, Rom vong, sap dancing and many folk games such as throwing con, stilt walking, swinging, tó má lẹ...
Visitors can also participate in family and children's experience activities such as painting statues, making handicrafts, playing ô ăn quan, wearing national costumes and exploring traditional cultural spaces at the "Common House".
Through the "Family Day" series of activities, the Village of Culture - Tourism of Vietnamese Ethnic Groups continues to become an attractive cultural destination, a gathering place and spreading the good traditional values of the Vietnamese ethnic communities.
