Northern region, many areas across the country have showers and thunderstorms, some places have heavy to very heavy rain due to the impact of a tropical depression in the coming days.

According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, on September 17, the North, Thanh Hoa and Nghe An will have moderate rain, heavy rain, locally very heavy rain and thunderstorms. Riêng Lai Chau, Dien Bien and the North of Son La will have scattered showers and thunderstorms, locally heavy rain. From the night of September 17, rain in this area tends to gradually decrease.

Hanoi is mainly related to the operation of tropical convergence zones, tropical depressions and circulation after tropical depressions, combined with continuous moisture sources brought from the East Sea and the Gulf of Tonkin to the mainland.

Tourists visiting and moving in the Northern region, Thanh Hoa and Nghe An need to pay attention to the risk of heavy rain, especially when performing outdoor activities or moving through low-lying areas.

In the area from Ha Tinh to Hue City, in the afternoon and night of September 17, there will be scattered showers and thunderstorms, with locally heavy rain. Other areas will have showers and thunderstorms in some places, especially in the late afternoon and evening, there will be scattered showers and thunderstorms, with locally heavy rain.

During thunderstorms, tornadoes, lightning, hail and strong gusts of wind can occur. Visitors should limit standing under large trees, near construction sites or moving on roads at risk of flooding when heavy thunderstorms occur.

From the night of September 18 to September 26, the weather will continue to vary between regions.

From Thanh Hoa to Da Nang City and eastern Quang Ngai province, there will be rain, moderate rain and scattered thunderstorms, with locally heavy rain. From around September 21, rain tends to gradually decrease.

The Central Highlands and Southern regions in the period from September 18-21 will have rain, moderate rain and scattered thunderstorms, locally heavy to very heavy rain. After that, this area will continue to have showers and scattered thunderstorms, locally heavy rain, mainly concentrated in the afternoon and night.

The remaining areas have showers and thunderstorms in some places, especially in the late afternoon and evening there are scattered showers and thunderstorms.

For trips during this time, tourists should proactively check forecasts before departure, arrange flexible sightseeing time and prepare alternative plans for outdoor activities when the weather turns bad.
