Weather forecast for Hue to Quang Ngai will have less rain from October 30.

According to the rain forecast from the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, last night and this morning, October 29, Hue City, Da Nang City and the East of Quang Ngai province had moderate to heavy rain, locally very heavy rain.

Today, some places recorded extremely heavy rainfall, including Bach Ma peak (Hue city) reaching 406.4 mm, Ba Na (Da Nang city) reaching 232.8 mm and Tra Nham (Quang Ngai) reaching 170.0 mm.

Previously, from October 22 to 28, the Central region was affected by a series of multi-disaster combinations causing prolonged heavy rain. Bach Ma Station (Thua Thien Hue) recorded 1,739.6 mm of rain in just one day.

This is the highest rainfall ever in Vietnam, even approaching the world record rainfall of 1,825 mm.

Total rainfall from October 22 to 4:00 a.m. on October 29 in Ha Tinh, Quang Tri and Quang Ngai, common rainfall is 200-450mm; Hue City from 450-900mm; Da Nang City 300-600mm.

In particular, a very heavy rainfall point is in Bach Ma, where 1,739.6mm of rain was recorded in one day - the largest single-day rainfall ever recorded in Vietnam.

According to statistics from the World Meteorological Organization, the heaviest one-day rainfall was 1,825mm at a French monitoring station in the Indian Ocean in January 1966, according to statistics from the World Meteorological Organization. That is, the rainfall in Bach Ma is approaching the world's historical milestone.

Rain forecast from the morning of October 29 to the night of October 30:

Weather forecast for Quang Ngai area from the evening of October 29 to early morning of October 30 is moderate rain, heavy rain with rainfall of 30-60 mm, some places over 100 mm; from October 30 the rain will gradually decrease.

Rain is forecast in the area from South Quang Tri to Da Nang City from the evening of October 29 to October 30, there will be heavy to very heavy rain, rainfall of 100-250 mm, locally over 500 mm; from the night of October 30, heavy rain is likely to gradually decrease.

Meanwhile, from South Nghe An to North Quang Tri, from the evening of October 29 to October 31, there will be moderate rain, heavy rain with rainfall of 70-150 mm, some places over 300 mm.

In addition, in the evening and night of October 29, the Central Highlands, the South and the East of the provinces from Gia Lai to Lam Dong will have rain, moderate rain and thunderstorms with rainfall of 15-40 mm, some places over 100 mm.

Extreme rain is forecast with an intensity of >150mm/3 hours, especially concentrated from now until the night of October 30.

People and tourists need to be on guard during thunderstorms with the possibility of tornadoes, lightning, hail and strong gusts of wind.

From October 30, heavy rain in the area from Hue City to Quang Ngai will gradually decrease. It is forecasted that from October 31, heavy rain in the above areas will gradually decrease significantly.
