On March 25, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Quang Tri province said that it is coordinating to complete the preparations to organize the Quang Tri Peace Cycling Festival 2026.
The event will take place from April 18 to April 19, 2026 at locations: Special National Relic Hien Luong - Ben Hai Banks, Vinh Linh Martyrs' Cemetery and Quang Tri Citadel. This is an opportunity to introduce historical relics, scenic spots, and promote the tourism potential and strengths of the locality; contributing to strengthening cooperation, cultural, sports and tourism exchange with domestic and international friends.
It is expected that the festival will attract about 1,000 participants, including cycling clubs and cycling enthusiasts nationwide. In addition, the organizers also invited cycling clubs from localities in Laos, Cambodia and Thailand to participate, creating a vibrant international sports exchange space.
Within the framework of the program, many meaningful activities will be organized such as: Flag raising ceremony and bicycle parade to launch a health training movement; visiting Vinh Linh Martyrs' Cemetery; visiting and giving gifts to people with disabilities, Agent Orange victims, policy families and people with meritorious services to the revolution in difficult circumstances.
The highlight of the event is the Quang Tri Provincial Cycling Race 2026 with the theme "Joining hands to build peace", promising to bring exciting competitions, contributing to spreading the spirit of sports and the message for peace.
Through the festival, the organizers expect to create a healthy and practical playground to respond to the Campaign "All people practice physical exercise following the example of the great Uncle Ho", promoting the cycling training and competition movement to become increasingly widespread.
