Mr. Bui Van Manh - Director of Ninh Binh Provincial Department of Tourism said that in 2024, Ninh Binh aims to welcome 7.5 million visitors, of which domestic visitors will reach 6.6 million and international visitors will reach 900,000.
By the end of November 2024, the entire Ninh Binh province had welcomed nearly 8.1 million tourists, an increase of 30.44% over the same period last year, exceeding the 2024 plan by 8.06%. Of which, international visitors reached 1.08 million, the highest ever and accounting for nearly 7% of the total number of international tourists to Vietnam.
"This is the result of a process with efforts, creativity, efficiency, and substance from local authorities as well as businesses to implement the policy of restoring international tourism in new conditions. At the same time, the Department of Tourism closely coordinates with the Provincial Tourism Association to mobilize tourism businesses to promote and advertise tourism, improve service quality, research and supplement new tourism products and conditions to serve tourists, especially international visitors" - Mr. Manh shared.
According to Director of Ninh Binh Province Department of Tourism Bui Van Manh, with the motivation from the open visa policy, along with the vibrant promotion and advertising activities in the last months of the year, the number of international visitors to Ninh Binh in 2024 is expected to continue to grow positively, the whole province is estimated to welcome over 8.7 million visitors, an increase of 26.5% over the same period, exceeding the annual plan by 16%. Of which, international visitors are estimated to welcome 1.5 million, accounting for nearly 10% of the total number of international visitors to Vietnam.
With steady steps, Ninh Binh is fully confident that it will achieve its goal by 2025, with total tourism revenue reaching over VND 8,000 billion, contributing about 6.5% of the province's GRDP.
By 2030, total tourism revenue will reach VND 18,660 billion, contributing about 8% of the province's GRDP, making Ninh Binh a large center with high brand value in tourism, cultural industry, and heritage economy of the whole country and the Asia-Pacific region.
