100 years of revolutionary journalism
Thanks from the Vietnam Journalists Association
Lao Dong Newspaper respectfully introduces the content of the gratitude of the Vietnam Journalists Association on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day.
Dark in the deep forest
In the busy days of May, when people were pouring into Quy Nhon coastal city to enjoy the pleasant air of the sea wind, we alone followed the winding dirt road leading to Hon Cha mountain (Tran Quang Dieu ward, Quy Nhon city, Binh Dinh), carrying an old backpack, a phone and the determination of a journalist to find "light" in the deep forest.
Eliminate the golden bandit capital in Vinh O protective forest
Reports from functional units in Vinh Linh district (Quang Tri) have repeatedly confirmed that the illegal gold mining situation in Vinh O protective forest has been controlled. However, reality shows a completely opposite picture when every day, Khe De stream is still flowing down, the camps are still springing up in the deep forest, and the sound of the engine is still echoing in the mountains. Playing the role of forest protection forces, a group of reporters from Lao Dong Newspaper broke into the "capital" of gold bandits in Vinh O, exposing large-scale illegal mining activities taking place openly in protective forests.
The irreplaceable bridge
Amidst the offshore parasites, at the head of the wind, each Lao Dong newspaper is handed over by Navy soldiers like a rope connecting the mainland with the remote island. During my working trip to Truong Sa, I not only felt the sacred beauty of the sea and sky of the Fatherland but also realized that the press was an irreplaceable bridge, bringing love and good news to the soldiers who were day and night protecting the sea and islands of my homeland.
Voice of opening up popular opinion and criticism from the ancient capital of Hue
In the 100-year flow of the Vietnam Revolutionary Press, the Tieng Dan Newspaper founded by Mr. Huynh Thuc Khang in Hue in 1927 is not only a newspaper, but a symbol of the spirit of criticism, national will and enlightenment ideal.
Museum of post-war works and the value of peace
At the end of May, at the Minh Chuyen Post-War Works Museum (Tho Loc village, Minh Khai commune, Vu Thu district, Thai Binh province), writer, journalist, director Minh Chuyen was honored to receive the title of Labor Hero and Asian Record for literary and artistic composition... after his tireless contributions to the country's press, literature and art and cinema.
Reflect on the truth, create good values
Where is the mission of a journalist expressed? - this question is not only theoretical, but an existing concern in the lives of many journalists. In modern society, the connection of social networking platforms has created public space and has a profound influence on most aspects of life. Therefore, the social mission of journalism needs to be of special importance, surpassing the simple professional concept.
Southwest Press Live Library
It would not be complete to call the Southwestern press collection of the resistance war period of journalist Truong Thanh Nha - former Editor-in-Chief of Thanh Giang Newspaper, former Chairman of the Journalists Association of Kien Giang Province - a library. Because for him, it is not only accumulation, preservation... but also spreading and restoring documents about the soldier journalists who heroically fell in the resistance war.
Going through the storm
As a reporter, over the years, I have had the opportunity to travel to many places, meet many people, and witness countless situations. Each trip left me with unforgettable impressions, especially those in the midst of storms, crossing mountains, wading streams to difficult lands. It is those experiences that have helped me better understand life, grow up with the profession and be steadfast amid the constant changes of my career as a journalist.
Reporter on the outpost island of Co To
Do what you like is freedom, love what you do is happiness. Being a journalist is a happiness. This is a thought, also a motivation for young reporters to persevere and quietly stay on the outpost island of Co To (Quang Ninh), the sacred Northeastern sea of the Fatherland.
The national anthem on the pen
The intensity of work and the pressure of life sometimes sweep us into a flow of haste without stopping. The haste causes many emotions to be placed somewhere in the subconscious, or are lost, until an unexpected event comes to life.
District news reporters and silent contributions
The first photos of the scene, the unique stories in the dark painted with cups often start from them - the reporters of the district newspaper. These local journalists are silent, devoting all their heart to the journalism profession. But name and fate are often... confused.
The letters next to the quick meal
Along with the work at Lao Dong Newspaper, I also have a small family to take care of every day.
Artists, journalists and emotional harmony
Many famous artists and beauty queens have entered the press. For them, experiencing a career with words and racing against time is an interesting but also stressful journey.
Many stories of journalists working with artists
For journalists working in the fields of culture and arts, their joy after conversations with artists is interesting lessons and stories from interviewees. And above all, it is also an experience in a seemingly easy but not easy field.
