Returning to Hollywood due to economic and family pressure
In recent years, Angelina Jolie has continuously appeared in large-scale film projects. After appearing in Marvel's "Eternals" and taking on the main role in the biopic "Maria", the 51-year-old star is preparing to release in North America at the end of June with the work "Couture".

However, at the premiere of her new film, Angelina Jolie admitted that there was a period when she thought her acting career was over: "I almost stopped acting before divorcing. At that time, I wanted to focus on my role as a director and international humanitarian activities," Angelina Jolie shared on Variety, referring to her divorce from actor Brad Pitt in 2016.
However, the actress soon realized that these jobs required her to move continuously and leave her children, Angelina Jolie was forced to arrange it appropriately.
She is currently taking care of 6 children alone, including: Maddox (24 years old), Pax Thien (22 years old), Zahara (21 years old), Shiloh (20 years old) and twins Knox - Vivienne (17 years old).
Overcoming the mental crisis
Looking back at the psychological effects of the nearly decade-long divorce with Brad Pitt - Angelina Jolie affirmed that she has overcome the most difficult stage to regain balance in life.
I think my fighting spirit has finally returned. I once lost it for a short time when I encountered life's upheaval. This recovery is largely thanks to my children" - Angelina said.
The "Maleficent" star confided that most of her children are close to adulthood, so they all support her to actively participate in social activities, travel and experience life: "The children are the ones who understand me the most and always have respect for me. This gives me more strength to find things that I have never had the opportunity to find again".
Previously, when interviewed by Vogue magazine in 2023, Angelina Jolie said that she actively reduced the workload in Hollywood from 2017 to focus on healing mental injuries.
Children simultaneously turn their backs on Brad Pitt
Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie began their relationship after starring in the movie "Mr. & Mrs. Smith" in 2005.
The star couple had 6 children together before officially getting married in 2014.
In 2016, Angelina Jolie filed for divorce, citing an incident on a private flight, in which she accused Brad Pitt of violent behavior towards his wife and children.
Although the two stars were legally declared single by the court in 2019, the 8-year legal dispute between the two sides over custody of the child and division of common property only reached a final settlement agreement. During this time, the children of the star couple also continuously took legal actions to change their names and remove the father's "Pitt" surname.
