When men "test fire" in the kitchen
International Women's Day March 8th is an occasion to honor women's contributions to family and society. Besides familiar gifts such as flowers or congratulatory cards, many people choose to express their feelings in a more special way.
At a baking workshop in Hanoi, the atmosphere became bustling when many men went to the kitchen, preparing cakes themselves to give to their colleagues on the occasion of March 8th. For many men, this is also the first time they have tried their hand at baking, from mixing flour, shaping to decoration. Although clumsy, everyone tries to complete the small gift in their own way.

Mr. Ly Anh Tuan (Phuc Loi ward, Hanoi) meticulously sits next to a lava cake (Chocolate lava cake), his face cannot hide his awkwardness. He shared that he had never made cake before, but this time he wanted to make it himself to give to close female colleagues.
On normal days, we can go shopping, but on important occasions, if we go down to the kitchen ourselves, it will be much more meaningful. When putting in effort and time, women themselves will feel truly appreciated," Mr. Tuan confided.

Similarly, Mr. Pham Cong Dat (Phu Dien ward, Hanoi) chose to make shell cakes because he wanted to bring a memorable memory. Instead of organizing a party like every year, he chose this way to increase experience and connect people closer together.
Mr. Dat admitted: "Making cakes is often associated with women. Today experiencing it myself, I found it quite difficult, I don't know how to mix flour and eggs correctly. But that waste of time clearly shows affection and respect.
Understanding and connection
The journey of making cakes does not only stop at the final product, but also is an opportunity for men to understand the hardships of women in housework.
Mr. Nguyen Dang Quoc Huy (Vinh Tuy ward, Hanoi) confided that after experiencing it, he found this job quite hard, requiring great patience and dedication. "From then on, I have become even more respectful and admiring of the women in daily cooking," Mr. Huy shared.

In the eyes of Mr. Huy and his male colleagues, women at the company are not only skilled colleagues but also a solid spiritual rear. They are willing to give profound advice outside of work, always happily share and encourage colleagues in difficult times. Because of that strong bond, men always want to dedicate the most meaningful and special programs to women at the office.

The value of gifts does not lie in the sophistication or expensiveness, but in the sincerity and time the giver spent preparing. Simple cakes but containing a lot of dedication have brought a warm atmosphere, contributing to making March 8th more meaningful for many women.
