On January 28, Mr. Nguyen Dinh Ap (49 years old) - father of player Nguyen Dinh Bac - said that the family will organize a large party to thank neighbors and relatives after his son returns from the 2026 AFC U23 Championship finals.
According to Mr. Ap, the party is expected to have a scale of about 180 trays of feasts, held in the afternoon of the same day at Hung Yen Bac 2 village stadium (Yen Trung commune, Nghe An province). This is also the location that once attracted thousands of local people to gather to cheer for Dinh Bac and the U23 Vietnam players in important matches at the tournament.
Initially, the family planned to prepare 100 trays of feasts, but then about 80 more trays arose. This is an action originating from the wishes of the family and son to thank the companionship, sharing and enthusiastic encouragement from the people of their hometown over the past time," Mr. Ap shared.
Currently, the event organizing unit has set up a tent, prepared a tray of food at the stadium area, and is expected to welcome about 1,800 guests. Logistics work is being urgently deployed to ensure the party takes place thoughtfully and warmly.
There are days when the whole neighborhood gathers to watch football, cheering for Bac and his teammates. Village affection and neighborliness are very precious. Bac also told me that his success today has a great encouragement from his hometown, so he wants to be thanked by everyone," Dinh Bac's father expressed.
Previously, on the afternoon of January 27, the People's Committee of Nghe An province coordinated with the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Nghe An to organize a ceremony to honor U23 Vietnam players from Nghe An, including Nguyen Dinh Bac, Van Binh and Quoc Cuong. Each player was awarded 50 million VND to recognize their contributions in the continental arena.
