Coach Tran Van Giap and Thai Binh women's club won 6th place in the Hoa Lu - Binh Dien Cup 2025 volleyball tournament. This is a result that has been predicted since the beginning of the tournament because the rice-country team has a main force of young players.
In recent matches, coach Tran Van Giap has still left his mark with his fiery and determined instructions, following each phase of his students' football. The captain of Thai Binh also received special encouragement when his wife, former striker Bui Thi Hue, and her two sons were present in the stands to watch the matches.
Talking to Lao Dong, coach Tran Van Giap shared: "My family has always been there to encourage and support me throughout my work as well as the club and I competing in tournaments. That is also a small happiness in our career and daily work".
The couple Bui Thi Hue and Tran Van Giap are considered one of the most beautiful love affairs in Vietnam's volleyball village. Both were once famous main attackers, playing for the national team for many years.
Bui Thi Hue is a close friend of Tran Van Giap's younger sister. After a long time of knowing and getting to know each other, the former striker started dating in 2002 and got married in 2008. The two have a happy married life and have two cute sons together.
After achieving many successes in her career, Bui Thi Hue has stopped playing to take care of her small family, and at the same time has been a solid supporter for her husband, helping coach Tran Van Giap continue to devote himself to her passion for volleyball when leading the Thai Binh women's club.
On the occasion of International Women's Day, March 8, the coach born in 1982 sent meaningful wishes. He expressed: "Not only on March 8 but in my daily life, I always want to send my best wishes to my relatives, women, especially my wife to always be healthy, everything goes well and always be happy with my loved ones".
