In the new episode of the show "You want to date", MC Quyen Linh and Ngoc Lan paired Nguyen Le My (40 years old, from Nghe An) with Le Thi Ngoc Lien (38 years old).
The groom's family is working as a business manager and producer of frozen food in District 12, Ho Chi Minh City and at a company. The girl's family is originally from the Central region, born and raised in Binh Thuan but is living and working in Ho Chi Minh City.
Introducing herself, Le My found herself enthusiastic, hard-working and sociable. When in a crowd or standing in front of women, he easily felt shy. Ngoc Lien is a family woman, affectionate but easily disadvantaged.
In love affairs, Le My had a 9-month relationship with her high school classmate. After finishing school, he had a next (more intense than the previous love) when he went to work in Hanoi. Coincidentally, on his bus back to his hometown, he accidentally met his girlfriend but did not know that she was studying to work abroad.
Ngoc Lien also had two relationships. Her first relationship was with her ex-husband, and she had a son. They were in love for 1.5 years before getting married (2010). During their time together, Ngoc Lien learned that her husband was too patriarchal, disregarded others and often spoke hurtfully.
For the family, Ngoc Lien tried and advised her husband to change but failed. Unable to bear it anymore, she and her husband began to separate in 2018. After that, Ngoc Lien unilaterally filed for divorce and completed the procedures in April 2019.
After the breakup, Ngoc Lien took care of her child herself (in grade 9.9) and was not supported with child support. Occasionally, the son still goes to his father's house.
Nearly 4 years later, Ngoc Lien met a younger man. At first, this person said that he was only 4 years younger than Ngoc Lien. After a while, she met a boyfriend 8 years younger than her. The groom's family did not agree, creating pressure for the two to break up.
Talking about the future, Ngoc Lien likes someone who is mature, knows what is in advance, thinks about others, and loves his family. She emphasized that she did not like patriarchal people, spoke too much and shouted "there - me".
Le My did not have many requirements for the other party. He just hopes his girlfriend is healthy and emotional.
After removing the barrier, the boy's family and the girl's family exchanged gifts. At the beginning of the conversation, Ngoc Lien asked about the future plans of the boy's family. Le My said that he has land but has not built a house.
MC Quyen Linh believes that Le My has a gentle personality, so Ngoc Lien should be proactive in the relationship. The bride's family shared: "I am brave but still want a man as a pillar, so that I can rely on him when I am tired".
After that, Ngoc Lien asked the other person about her own child. Le My promised to take care of the female guest's child if they dated and replied: "until then, your child will also be mine." Hearing that, the bride's family thought that men who were first in the relationship would say that and would change when entering the relationship. The groom's family continued, he did not promise in advance but would try to give his girlfriend good things.
After the conversation, only Le My pressed the button to agree while Ngoc Lien refused to date.
