Miss Y Nhi represented Vietnam in the 72nd Miss World contest. She received support from her family and fans.
Huynh Tran Y Nhi was born in 2002, in Binh Dinh, 1.75m tall. Before being crowned Miss World Vietnam 2023, Y Nhi won the runner-up prize of the 2022 Binh Dinh Student charm contest.
At the time of her coronation, Y Nhi publicly announced her boyfriend Nguyen Anh Kiet. The beauty shared that the two have known each other since grade 12 (ie when she was 17 years old).
When asked why she publicly announced her boyfriend while previous beauty queens often kept their love story a secret, Y Nhi said that she wanted to be honest with herself, the organizers, the judges and the audience. The beauty affirmed that her boyfriend encouraged her to come to the contest and that was also part of the motivation to help her win.
Mr. Kiet studied at Ho Chi Minh City University of Architecture, and his parents are secondary school teachers. He was the one who supported her throughout the competition, such as taking the beauty to learn skills, shopping for clothes, and costumes.
After being crowned, Y Nhi occasionally appeared with her boyfriend. She once posted a photo with Anh Kiet on the opening day, proving that their relationship is still good.
At the end of 2023, Y Nhi announced that she would study abroad in Australia. During her time in Australia, the beauty improved her foreign language, actively participated in studying, interacted with audiences on social networks, and participated in a number of charity projects.
She often travels between Vietnam and Australia to study and participate in many activities, doing charity projects. When arriving at the airport, she always has family, colleagues and even her boyfriend to pick her up.
At the time Y Nhi was involved in controversy over her post-rown speech, Nguyen Anh Kiet spoke up to defend her lover: "We are not simply in love as if we had just met, but also have understanding and sympathy for each other".

The beauty queen said that she always wakes up at 5am to prepare her hair and makeup carefully: "If I have time, I will take care of my hair and makeup more carefully. In case the time is limited, I complete everything as quickly as possible, by waking up earlier.
