On March 1, in Hanoi, Politburo member and Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh attended the announcement ceremony of the National Assembly's Resolution on the establishment of the Ministry of Ethnic Minorities and Religions and decisions on personnel work at the Ministry of Ethnic Minorities and Religions.
Speaking at the event, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh congratulated the establishment of the Ministry of Ethnic Minorities and Religions.
On this occasion, the Prime Minister also acknowledged and highly appreciated the efforts and contributions of Ms. Pham Thi Thanh Tra - Minister of Home Affairs and Mr. Hau A Lenh - Secretary of the Ha Giang Provincial Party Committee, former Minister, Chairman of the Ethnic Committee - in leading agencies performing state management functions in the field of religion and ethnicity in recent times.
The Prime Minister also congratulated Mr. Dao Ngoc Dung on completing his duties as Minister of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs and now being assigned the duties of Minister of Ethnic Minorities and Religions.

The Prime Minister directed the Ministry of Ethnic Minorities and Religions to continue to thoroughly grasp and implement the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's policies and laws on ethnic and religious work, and perform well the functions, tasks and powers according to regulations, noting a number of contents.
Stating that the Politburo has just decided to exempt tuition fees for all students from preschool to high school across the country, the Prime Minister expressed concern about schools for students and medical treatment facilities for people in remote areas, ethnic minority areas, and border areas of islands.
The head of the Government requested the Minister of Ethnic Minorities and Religions and the Minister of Education and Training to urgently develop a nationwide project this year so that students can have boarding schools without "having to go far, not having to walk dozens of kilometers to go to school", and at the same time take care of their food and accommodation.
The funding source for this work is from increasing revenue and saving unnecessary regular expenses.

The Minister of Health has developed a project to upgrade and improve grassroots health care nationwide with the motto of caring for and protecting people's health and life above all, first of all.
According to the Prime Minister, the principle is that wherever there are students, there are teachers, wherever there are patients, there are doctors, but it must be suitable for practice, reasonable and effective, the important thing is to cover the needs of the people but not machines, not "2 students, 1 teacher, 1 patient, 1 doctor".
The Prime Minister assigned the Ministry of Ethnic Minorities and Religions to develop a project to submit to competent authorities to contribute to the development of equality, health and civilization among religions.
The Prime Minister also requested the Ministers and the Ministry of Ethnic Minorities and Religions to immediately start work, not to interrupt work, especially work related to people, ethnic and religious work, actively contribute to political stability, social order and safety, national development, and promote GDP growth of 8% or more.
