Appearing in the matchmaking program, Mr. Nguyen Danh Hieu (43 years old, from Nghe An) attracted attention when sharing a life story full of ups and downs. Currently a mechanical engineer in Ho Chi Minh City, he said he had gone through a marriage that lasted more than 10 years but was not happy.
According to the story, the cause of the breakup stemmed from small conflicts accumulated over time. After a financial upheaval, his wife left. "The couple had no common language, living together mainly I took care of everything, from children to daily life," he said. After the divorce, he raised one child, while his wife took care of the other child.
Currently, Mr. Hieu has a stable income of about 45 - 50 million VND per month. However, what he wants is not material things but a sincere woman who knows how to share to build a family together. "No need to be too beautiful, just understand each other to live long," he shared.
On the other side, Ms. Mai (42 years old, tax official in Ho Chi Minh City) also has a similar situation. She used to marry a classmate but broke up many years ago because she could not find a match. After that, she spent most of her time with her teenage son.
Ms. Mai admitted that she is a calm person, knows how to control her emotions but lacks housework skills. In return, she values understanding in relationships. Notably, the views on finance and role in the family of both are quite similar. If they live together, they are willing to be flexible in managing spending, as long as it is effective and transparent. Regarding children, both believe that maturity is needed to connect the members of the new family.
