MC Ngoc Lan and the old newspaper in hand are the first "mentories". This image reminds Ms. Cao Thi Oanh of the opportunity to know about the program "Supporting the competition season", and at the same time, re-ignite deep impressions of the journey of "supporting" that she has not been able to forget.
Sharing with the program, Ms. Oanh said she accidentally learned about the program "Supporting the competition season" through a friend's introduction. When she first registered to participate, she was quite confused and did not understand the job well, but was still determined to do her best.
In the first year, Ms. Oanh provided accommodation for contestants and parents. In the second year, the center began supporting additional meals, helping the contestants' families reduce the cost burden.
In particular, these meals were brought by volunteers from District 1 to Go Vap, Ho Chi Minh City to give to the contestants. People who are supported often think that they will have to pay the fee, but the opposite is true, both accommodation and food are free. Ms. Oanh even went to ask for water to drink to support the students.
Talking about the conditions of the house at that time, Ms. Oanh said: "My house was a level four house, the foundation was sunken, the walls were cracked, the doors were no longer sturdy.
The house is small so it cannot accommodate many people, everyone has to lie close to each other to have enough space to rest. Parents spread out their sleeping mates. That time was very difficult and arduous, but when I helped them, I felt very happy, the work I did was truly meaningful.

With a level four house, the conditions are not complete, but each competition season she still welcomes nearly 100 people.
In the evening, Ms. Oanh also gathered the contestants to give them the necessary information when going to school. She also helps parents clearly understand their children's exam time to arrange a break and take them home appropriately. For those who take the exam from far away, there will be students volunteering to pick them up and drop them off.
An action she always does every exam season is to wake up early to shake hands, wishing each contestant confidence and calmness before stepping out. She also asked about subjects that students were weak in to find volunteers or acquaintances to support, giving them more confidence and motivation.
Referring to the memories that reminded her most during the examination of the exam season, she said: “When I relay the exam season, I often went to the bus station to share with students volunteering the rambutan barrels. One day, I accidentally caught the two brothers and realized that the contestant went to the exam. Can I find a accommodation? ”
The second memory is a pencil notebook. Inside the book are handwritten words and photos of the contestants that Ms. Oanh helped with during the "Supporting the Competition Season" periods that are carefully preserved. Beautiful memories can be preserved in many ways, and Ms. Oanh's way is to record everything in that precious book of records.
She shared: "There are times when the show is no longer around, I open my notebook to look back and cry. Because the work I do is very small, but they can see that.
