In the new episode of "You want to date", MC Quyen Linh and Ngoc Lan matchmaker Hong Tam (born in 1989, currently working at a water supply company) and Pham Thi Thuy Nhien (born in 1990, living in Vinh Long).
Hong Tam said that she has been working on repairing the water supply and drainage system for about 20 years. The male guest admitted that he is gentle and quiet when he meets strangers, but will be more open when they are close.
Sharing about her love life, Hong Tam said that she got married in 2011 and divorced in 2023. According to the groom's family, the marriage ended because the wife had someone else. The child was born in 2012, currently living with him.
When Quyen Linh wondered why his son did not stay with his mother after the divorce, Hong Tam said that the mother did not adopt him, while his son also chose to stay with his father. For many years, he has focused on working and taking care of his son, and has not entered a new relationship.
On the other side of the fence, Thuy Nhien introduced herself as a single mother of two girls, currently in 2nd and 4th grade. She is doing a small homestay business in the center of Vinh Long, and also learning more skills related to digital content and podcasts.
The female guest said that she had been married since 2015 and divorced at the end of 2023. She said she was disappointed with her husband's role in married life, although she had previously placed many expectations and tried to build a family.
Thuy Nhien shared that even though she is divorced, her ex-husband still often introduces her as his wife and shows signs of jealousy when she learns about a new person. After talking clearly with her ex-husband, she confidently participated in the program to find a serious relationship.
The type of person Thuy Nhien wants is someone who can talk, share and care about her emotions. Meanwhile, Hong Tam only sets a fairly simple criterion: gentle and knows how to take care of the family.
When the fence opened, the bride's family gave Hong Tam a book and a feng shui bracelet, while the groom's family was somewhat nervous and less proactive. Thuy Nhien continuously asked questions about geographical distance, how to build relationships, taking care of children and living together if the two go further.
However, before the questions of the female guest, Hong Tam answered many times briefly, lacking specificity. He said he could "take care of everything" for his girlfriend and her two children but has not given a clear plan on finance, accommodation or how to reconcile the two families.
Seeing the groom's family confused, Ngoc Lan commented that he was "shocked" because Thuy Nhien spoke quite a lot. The female guest then proactively spoke less so that he would have the opportunity to show it. Quyen Linh also advised her not to put too much pressure on the person opposite her right from the first meeting.

As a result, only Hong Tam pressed the button to agree to date. Thuy Nhien refused because she felt that the groom's family had not shown the necessary stability to become a support for her and her two children.
Ngoc Lan said that the girl's decision is well-founded, because she has gone through many difficulties, is self-reliant in life and takes care of her two children alone. Meanwhile, Hong Tam is considered gentle and sincere but still too cautious. The two MCs advised the couple to maintain a friendship after the program.
