On May 12, a wedding clip in the West of a young couple caused a stir when parents gave them up to 30 taels of gold as wedding gifts.

The bride - groom at the "golden" wedding are Hoai Thuong (18 years old, from Long An) and Thanh Phat (20 years old, from Tien Giang, currently living and running a gold shop with their family in Long An). The couple's wedding was held on May 8.
Talking to reporters, Mr. Thanh Phat said: "The couple received 30 taels of gold - a wedding gift from both families. Since yesterday, we have been surprised because the wedding clip has attracted a lot of attention. Our wedding was happy and joyful with the witness of both families".
Thanh Phat's wife, Ms. Hoai Thuong, was also surprised when the couple's wedding attracted much attention. Currently, after getting married, the two have also made many plans to build a future life for both.
When asked if it was too early to get married, the two were quite young but they were married, Mr. Phat said: "I think nothing is too early. We love and take this relationship seriously, so we are getting married."
Mr. Phat also emphasized that he and his wife are not afraid of controversy or being criticized for being showing off because they both truly love each other and are serious about getting married.
The wedding ceremony was also promoted by both families to build a future for both of them. He said he was not pressured by incorrect prejudices.
