The "Korea Gallery Trail" experience program will last until July 23, 2026 (local time), within the series of events "BTS the city Arirang - London" organized on the occasion of the group performing in London within the framework of the global tour "Arirang".
Unlike a regular promotional activity, "Korea Gallery Trail" is built as a journey of discovery at the museum's Korean exhibition area. Through the connection between BTS music and historical artifacts, the program helps visitors learn more about the cultural values preserved through many generations.
Inspired by the 5th studio album named "Arirang", the program selected artifacts associated with topics such as hope, perseverance and the spirit of cohesion.
Among these are Sarangbang - a traditional reception space symbolizing a new beginning. Dal Hangari (moon vase), a symbol of Korean ceramic art. Gold earrings showing sophisticated craftsmanship and Sumaksae - a type of decorative tile bearing the imprint of ancient architecture.
In addition to typical artifacts that are being displayed regularly, the program also focuses on introducing heritage of the Silla (Tan La) period. This content is built based on inspiration from the song "No. 29", the 6th song in the album "Arirang", with sound taken from the Seongdeok Dai Vuong bell - one of the famous treasures of Korea.
Visitors can scan the QR code at the entrance to the exhibition area to receive instructions, learn about each artifact and related historical story. After the discovery journey, participants are encouraged to share meaningful artifacts with themselves through the question "What is Your Arirang?" on social networks.
According to HYBE, the program aims to help international tourists access the historical and artistic values of Korea in a closer way, while creating a connection between contemporary music and cultural heritage.
The cooperation with the British National Museum continues the series of activities promoting Korean culture that BTS has been implementing for many years. In music and performing stage products, the group has repeatedly incorporated traditional elements such as hanbok, folk instruments, royal architecture and Korean cultural symbols into their works.
In 2021, BTS was appointed as the Special Envoy of the President of South Korea on the future generation and culture. The group has participated in many international activities to introduce the country's image, including speeches at the United Nations General Assembly.
Before deploying the program at the British National Museum, BTS held 2 performance nights at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on July 6 and 7, 2026 as part of the "Arirang" tour. Combining cultural activities with the tour schedule helps the group expand the experience for the audience, while bringing stories about Korean history and heritage closer to the global public.
