Korean media reported that Jennie's (Blackpink) ODD ATELIER (or OA Entertainment) will move its headquarters to a newly built building in Hannam-dong, a luxury quarter in Yongsan-gu, Seoul.
The new headquarters of OA Entertainment company is 927m2 with 5 floors, including 1 basement and 4 upper floors.
The project was designed by Hong Tae Seon, the only licensed architect in the US working in Korea, who was honored as an honorary member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA) in 2024.
Previously, this real estate was advertised for sale with a deposit price of 1.5 - 2.5 billion won (about 28 - 47 billion VND) and a monthly rental price of 60 - 80 million won (1.2 - 1.6 billion VND). The building's estimated selling price is about 45 billion won.
The new building is located on the main street north of Hannam Bridge, making it easy to travel to Gangnam and other parts of Seoul via Hangangjin Station and Gyeongui-Jungang route. The top has a panoramic view of the Han River.
Jennie's decision came as her current office rental contract - a renovated house in Itaewon-dong - is set to expire in October.
This location has caused controversy due to the illegal conversion of the purpose of use from the exhibition room to the office space, leading to the Yongsan District Office sending a notice of violation of construction regulations.
There is also analysis that the move of offices of OA Entertainment is not a simple move, but a strategic decision to enhance the global brand value of Jennie and OA.
Jennie chose a prime location with a fairly high rental price for the new headquarters, which also proves the strong growth of OA company after only nearly 2 years of operation.
Previously, Jennie established her own company OA Entertainment in November 2023, after deciding not to renew her individual contract with YG Entertainment but only maintain a group contract.
All of Jennie's solo activities since then, from music to fashion, and advertising, have been undertaken by OA and cooperated with international record labels.
After OA went into operation, Jennie signed a collaboration contract with Columbia Records, a major American record label under Sony Music.
The singer released the single "Mantra" in October 2024, followed by her first solo album "Ruby" in March 2025 with the title track "like JENNIE".
The album has achieved many impressive achievements, showing that Jennie has been developing since going solo and becoming the "owner" of her own company.
