The pension level of artists will not have a fixed level but will be calculated based on the process of social insurance contribution, management position and salary coefficient when working at public art units.
When retiring, Meritorious Artist Chi Trung saved a sum of money for his "aging" life, about "a few billion VND".
Mentioning this amount of money, Meritorious Artist Chi Trung said, "Young people now earn money very well. Many professions are increasingly earning high incomes. The money I have after so many years of working is nothing. But enough for me to take care of myself in my old age. I talked to my girlfriend, at some point, I will live alone, possibly going to a nursing home. She is still young, I am 65 years old this year. In about 10 years, when I am 75 years old, who can know what I will be like. I prepare my future in advance, without bothering anyone.

Meritorious Artist Chi Trung shared that when he retired, he lived in moderation. Every day, he woke up at 5 am, went to exercise until 7 am. At about 8 am, he went to pick up his girlfriend to have breakfast and coffee.
For Meritorious Artist Chi Trung, the most important thing is health, joy, and peace in life.
Also participating in the movie "Under the Lighted Window", People's Artist Bui Bai Binh also shared that the most important thing for him at retirement is peace, is to see his wife, children, and grandson healthy.

Talking about his retirement life, People's Artist Bui Bai Binh said, "Every month I receive about 6 million VND in pension money. It used to be less, now it has increased like that. But my life motto is very simple, having little spends little, having a lot spends a lot. My family spends just enough for the money I have. The value of life is not only in material things, but also in spirit. At this age, I can still do the job I like, occasionally go to make movies, so what else can I hope for? What I want most is that my family and loved ones are always healthy".
The acting profession has its own characteristics, the majority of artists after retirement are even busier, get many movie shows, and even become more famous, achieving more success - compared to when they were still working.
