Lee Jun Young has just posted a handwritten letter announcing that he will officially enlist on July 21.
In the letter, the actor said that before actually receiving the enlistment letter, he always thought that performing military service was simply "going on a trip and returning", nothing too special. But when the specific enlistment date was set, many emotions and thoughts appeared in his heart.
To find the most appropriate way of expressing himself, he revised the letter 10 times before posting it.
Lee Jun Young shared that after writing these lines, his mood felt much lighter and promised to complete his military service in a healthy state and return to fans.
After that, Lee Jun Young's management company also confirmed that he will participate in basic military training courses at the Army training center before being assigned to a work unit. No separate farewell events will be held on the enlistment day.
Born in 1997, Lee Jun Young was first known to the public in 2014 as a member of the group U-KISS.
In 2017, he had his first acting work through the movie "Avengers social club". After that, he continuously appeared in many famous works such as "D.P", "Mask girl", "When life gives you tangerines" and "Weak hero class 2", taking on many different roles from villain to main character.
According to Korean media, the enlistment announcement was made right at the time when Lee Jun Young's career was in its prime.

He is currently starring in JTBC's hit weekend movie "Reborn rookie". The movie started with a modest viewership rating of 3.7% but continuously broke its own rating record through each week of broadcast. Currently, the movie has almost reached the 10% mark when it aired until episode 6.
In the film, Lee Jun Young plays a young man who encounters a body swapping incident. Although the script is somewhat strange and unrealistic, his performance is still highly appreciated by critics for his natural and delicate acting.
Usually, military service can slow down the development of a rising actor - a phenomenon that the Korean entertainment industry calls "interruption due to military service". However, Lee Jun Young has prepared very carefully by completing a series of new projects in advance to maintain his presence on television and online platforms.
The actor will appear in the sensational movie "Four hands", scheduled to air in August, not long after he enlisted.
Lee Jun Young has also completed filming for many major upcoming projects, including Netflix's romantic comedy "Our sticky love" and the movie "Handwritten".
By maintaining a tight work schedule until close to enlistment, Lee Jun Young's management company hopes to minimize the time he is absent from the screen, turning compulsory military service into a short break that has been carefully prepared for domestic and international audiences.
