Core role in organizing emulation movements
In the period 2023-2025, the worker movement and trade union activities in the Army have had comprehensive and clear development in terms of organization, content and methods of operation, achieving many important results, creating momentum and motivation for emulation for cadres, union members, and workers. The Army Trade Union organization has closely followed political tasks, actively innovated the content and methods of operation in a practical and effective direction, putting workers at the center; promoting the role of representing, caring for and protecting the legitimate and lawful rights and interests of union members and workers. Patriotic emulation movements have been promoted, closely linked with the political tasks of the unit, making an important contribution to building a contingent of cadres and trade union members with firm political bravery, dedication, creativity, affection and dedication.
In particular, the trade union continues to affirm its core role in organizing emulation movements and campaigns launched by the Army and the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor. In which, directing and guiding trade union levels to regularly promote and widely develop patriotic emulation movements, revolutionary action movements launched by the Army and the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, with many innovative and creative ways of doing things, rich and attractive forms, such as: Emulation movement "Army Trade Union innovation, creativity - Strengthening strength, cultivating virtue - Elevating intellect, practicing profession - Strong, developing, worthy of Uncle Ho's soldiers"; "Good labor, creative labor"; "Green, clean, beautiful, ensuring labor safety and hygiene"; "5 most - 3 no"; "Labor safety, traffic safety, no violation of discipline"; "Good advice, good service" associated with the victory-oriented emulation movement and campaigns in the Army such as: "Promoting tradition, dedicating talent, worthy of Uncle Ho's soldiers" in the new era; "Managing and exploiting weapons, technical equipment well, durable, safe, economical and traffic safety"...
Thousands of initiatives, technical improvements, and production rationalization are applied, saving hundreds of billions of VND for the national defense budget each year. There are 20,795 topics, initiatives, works, and products effectively applied, with a total value of estimated profit of more than 997 billion VND. Directing clusters and blocs to operate effectively and practically, strengthening exchanges and connections, sharing experiences in trade union activities in each type of unit and enterprise; participating in quality activities in the Central Industry Trade Union Emulation Block, production and business enterprises, service activities... contributing to the successful implementation of the goals and tasks of the Trade Union organization and the task of building the Army, consolidating national defense, and protecting the Fatherland.
Organized over 4,000 thematic meetings, seminars, exchanges, and worker forums; 3,100 cultural and sports exchanges, with the participation of over 320,000 turns of trade union members and workers. Organized 14 training conferences for 1,680 trade union officials at all levels; organized 129 trips to the source, visit historical sites, for more than 7,000 turns of officials, union members, and workers.
Representative protecting the legitimate and lawful rights and interests of trade union members and workers
The National Defense Trade Union has directed and guided trade union levels to coordinate to well implement grassroots democracy regulations; well perform the function of representing and caring for and protecting the legitimate and lawful rights and interests of workers; actively participate in management, promote the right to mastery of union members and workers, build harmonious, stable and progressive labor relations. Every year, 100% of grassroots trade unions of enterprises proactively coordinate with employers to organize Employee Conferences, do a good job of negotiating and signing collective labor agreements with many clauses that benefit workers, proposing to improve working conditions and environments for workers such as renovating factories, installing air conditioners; planting trees to reduce heat, noise, dust, and hazards; installing ventilation fans, investing in innovating production lines and modern technology equipment, contributing to reducing manual labor...
The entire army has 404 financially autonomous enterprises and units that are subject to building and implementing the Grassroots Democracy Regulation at the workplace. Of which, 397 units issued regulations on coordination of work between business directors (heads of units) and grassroots trade unions; issued 1,809 internal regulations and rules.
In addition, the housing program "Trade Union Home, Comradeship" continues to create strong spread, helping many union members and workers in particularly difficult housing circumstances realize the dream of "An cư, lạc nghiệp". Giving 95 houses "Trade Union Home, Comradeship", including building 64 new houses and repairing 31 houses, to union members in particularly difficult circumstances with a total amount of over 5.8 billion VND.
The movement to help each other develop the family economy has been widely developed, the trade union capital support fund continues to be effective, increasing income for trade union member families, contributing to the implementation of the goal of hunger eradication and poverty reduction in the Army Trade Union, helping 764 trade union members in difficult circumstances to borrow from 20 million VND to develop the family economy. Effectively implementing the " Welfare Program for Trade Union Members" under the cooperation agreement between the National Defense Trade Union Committee and partners, thereby helping union members and workers enjoy incentives when using telecommunications, banking, and essential goods products and services.
Accordingly, the National Defense Trade Union signed agreements with partners such as the Military Industry and Trade Group, Military Commercial Joint Stock Bank, An Phu Investment and Development Joint Stock Company APS; NEWSTAR One Member Limited Company, MEDLATEC Vietnam Limited Company, and 167,500 trade union members have registered to enjoy incentives, with the total amount of incentives estimated at over 120 billion VND....
One of the lessons learned by the Trade Union organization in the Army is to regularly strengthen the comprehensive leadership of Party committees at all levels, the direction and close management and administration of political commissars, political officers (secretaries), and political agencies at all levels towards the workers' movement and trade union activities; thoroughly grasp, concretize and flexibly and creatively apply the guidelines, resolutions, and directives of the Party, the Central Military Commission - Ministry of National Defense, and the guidance of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor to ensure compliance with the functions and tasks of each unit, enterprise and Trade Union organization. Along with that, doing a good job of advising the Party Committee, closely following military and defense tasks; political tasks of units and businesses and the direction and guidance of superiors, attaching importance to innovating the content and methods of operation; proactively and promptly adapting to major changes and new issues arising from practice; actively mobilizing resources to care for and ensure policies for trade union members and workers...
