Accordingly, in the post, the extras wrote: "Director, when will our salaries for filming 'City Builder' be paid? A large film crew, with the participation of famous actors, would they intentionally delay paying the extras' salaries?
We are human beings, yet we are treated unfairly. When filming, we are not allowed to drink water, we are not allowed to go to the toilet, and if we lose something, we are responsible for it. The living environment is bad, the food is not enough and not guaranteed, we are always urged to film without enough time to eat.
Really, we are not considered human anymore! The film hasn't even been released yet, but the crew already wants to lose points in the eyes of the audience? May I ask the director and the big stars, where are our salaries?"
After the first post received no response, some extras continued to condemn the crew of "City Builder". Director Ton Hao was accused of delaying the payment of actors' salaries, extending until Lunar New Year but refusing to resolve the issue.
According to Weibo posts, some of the extras have long since completed their work, but their payments have yet to be paid. After contacting the crew but not receiving a response, they decided to post on social media.
The incident caused controversy. Many people sympathized with the extras’ situation and suggested that the film crew should be fair in their expenses. Some accounts even criticized director Ton Hao for pressuring and using his connections to delete the extras’ posts.
