Recently, G-Dragon (Big Bang) appeared on comedian Park Myung Soo's YouTube talk show " Halmyungsoo", marking the first reunion of the two artists in 14 years, since MBC's variety show "Infinite Challenge" in 2011.
In a conversation with Park Myung Soo, G-Dragon talked about his upcoming third world tour, Übermensch.
The tour kicked off with 2 concerts in Korea on March 29-30. However, these 2 concerts were embroiled in controversy due to delays in the organization time. According to the record, G-Dragon started the performance about 75 minutes late.
At that time, G-Dragon's management company briefly explained that the concert delayed the start due to unusually bad weather conditions: low temperatures, snow, rain with strong winds in the afternoon. The male singer also bowed his head to apologize to the audience on stage.
In the Halmyungsoo program, G-Dragon explained in detail about this incident. He said: "rain, hail and snow fell at the same time in the surprisingly cold weather in March. We had to use a lot of technical equipment, but because the weather was too cold, the machines were frozen. That caused the delay.
The male singer expressed regret: "Although the weather was bad, that (delay) was a pity, we should have done better."
In addition, G-Dragon and Park Myung Soo discussed retirement. Park Myung Soo thought that he had worked hard, bringing laughter to the audience for many years, and now is the time to enjoy his own life.
On the contrary, G-Dragon believes that for an artist like him, retirement does not depend on age or his decision.
He explained: "Maybe it's because I'm younger, but I haven't set a retirement age. In music, I don't think it depends on me. I am still inspired and passionate, so I will continue to work.
Park Myung Soo praised G-Dragon's thinking and said, "You shouldn't set limits to yourself. You are doing very well, and I hope you will continue to show the world the wonderful aspects of yourself.
Notably, G-Dragon also mentioned the group Big Bang. He chose "Still Life" as his favorite group song, and at the same time wanted to perform with the members on the occasion of Big Bang's 20th anniversary.
"Not to mention achievements, all songs are meaningful to me. But my favorite song is "Still Life," as it is the group's most recent product. We are celebrating 20 years, it is a milestone we have never thought of, so it is very meaningful. Therefore, I want to sing with the members on their 20th anniversary.
