Fundamental factors that help Vietnam rise

According to the Organizing Committee, the theme of the Vietnam Science and Technology Festival 2025 is "Science, technology, innovation and digital transformation: Breakthrough to bring the country into an era of wealth and prosperity".
This theme demonstrates the determination and strategic vision of the Party, State and the entire science and technology sector on the core role of knowledge, technology, innovation and digital transformation in the country's development journey.
Speaking to celebrate the Vietnam Science and Technology Festival in 2025, Minister of Science and Technology Nguyen Manh Hung said: "Science is not only in the laboratory, on the pages of books, but must come into life, solve the big problems of the country, bring prosperity and happiness to the people.
Today, we are here to celebrate, honor, especially together affirming the determination to create a new future for science, technology, innovation and digital transformation of the country".
Looking back on the past, the Minister said that each cadre in the Science and Technology sector is extremely proud and deeply gratitude for the merits, intelligence and silent dedication of previous generations that have laid a solid foundation for today's achievements - achievements that have contributed to making Vietnam look brighter and stronger.
Speaking at the program, Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Chi Dung emphasized that science and technology, innovation and digital transformation have truly become a foundation, a launching pad for Vietnam to rise in the digital era.
"Sciences and technology, innovation and digital transformation are not only the driving force for economic growth, but also the foundation for building a safe, humane and prosperous digital Vietnam. This is also a strategic tool to improve labor productivity, protect the environment, respond to climate change and improve the quality of life of the people..." - Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Chi Dung commented.
At the program, representatives of the Business/Institute, School/Scientific House/Unpersonalized Institute and representatives of diplomatic agencies in Vietnam also presented and delivered speeches in response to the Vietnam Science and Technology Festival in 2025.
Honoring outstanding technology products
Within the framework of the program, the Organizing Committee honored typical science and technology products and works in 2024. These are all achievements with high practical application value, contributing to solving urgent problems of the country. At the same time, improving the quality of life for people.
The honoring activities not only recognize and honor the outstanding contributions of scientists, businesses, research institutes and universities, but also strongly spread the spirit of innovation, arousing motivation to contribute in the community, towards sustainable development of Vietnam.
"S well-off people who have made many contributions to the development of the country and humanity must be honored forever" - the Minister emphasized.
According to the Minister, the Ministry of Science and Technology will propose to build a park with a monument to science and technology experts with outstanding research achievements and contributions to the country and the world.
At the program, the Ministry of Science and Technology also announced the new Action and mission Program of the National Science and Technology Development Fund (NAFostED) - a restructured science funding institution to improve management efficiency, reduce administrative procedures and create maximum favorable conditions for organizations and individuals to carry out science and technology tasks.
According to the Ministry, this is the first time a national-scale scientific commitment announcement ceremony has been held simultaneously between scientists, inventors and businesses, showing the substance and strong application orientation of the science and technology industry in the new development stage.
In addition to research commitments, the Vietnam Science and Technology Festival on May 18, 2025 also honors outstanding initiatives from the "Scientific Initiative 2025" Contest.
