In recent years, Glen Powell has risen to become one of the prominent faces of Hollywood thanks to his classic handsome appearance, modern demeanor and ability to transform in many ways.
At the age of 37, the star of "The Running Man" is entering the prime period, with enough courage to become an A-list star, and is ready to try her hand at bolder roles.
Starting with supporting roles, Powell appeared in Spy Kids 3-D (2003) and The Dark Knight Rises (2012). The turning point came when he appeared in Everybody Wants Some! !" (2016) by Richard Linklater, helped him escape the "hot boy" image to become a promising face.
In the same year, he made his mark in Hidden figures, transforming into pilot John Glenn and helping the cast win the SAG.
Powell's career exploded with "Top Gun: Maverick" (2022) as the arrogant but seductive pilotsman Hangman. This success put him in the bright male lead ranks for both action and romantic films. Despite his leading man appearance, Powell has always tried to avoid being left out. He clearly showed that in Hit Man (2023), transforming into a philosophy lecturer pretending to be an assassin with many personalities, bringing home a nomination for the Golden Ball.
In 2024, Powell returned to his home state of Texas with "Shock of Death", playing a proud but emotional hurricane hunter. He proved that his appeal is not only in appearance but also in characters with depth, both strong and approachable.
In Flying From Death, Powell plays Ben Richards an ordinary man caught up in a survival game show to save his family. Not a superhero or a veteran, Ben carries the power of simplicity, which makes Powell the ideal choice for the role. The film's harsh requirements caused him to be constantly injured and had to practice at high intensity.

To prepare for the role, Powell received a lot of advice from Tom Cruise - his close senior from Top Gun: Maverick. The two chatted for more than 2 and a half hours, Cruise shared his experience in "betting his life to serve the audience". Powell also recalled Arnold Schwarzenegger's words: "Action films are fun to watch, but filming is not fun at all."
From a supporting actor to a blockbuster leader, Glen Powell is proving himself to be a new generation action face of Hollywood.
Fleeing Death officially premiered from November 14, 2025.
