Korea Grand Music Awards (KGMA) is a new Korean music award , organized for the first time by Ilgan Sports - the Korean news website that created the prestigious Golden Disc Awards.
KGMA will honor mainstream artists who have received a lot of love from domestic and foreign fans throughout the year.
On August 28, KGMA organizers announced that NewJeans female idol Hanni and "Good Partner" star Nam Ji Hyun will be the two hosts for the first day of the awards ceremony, scheduled to take place on August 28. November 16 at Inspire Arena, Unseo-dong, Jung-gu, Incheon (South Korea).
KGMA organizers stated: "As we open a new era with this music awards show, we want to choose two artists who represent the new wave of Kpop with a large fan base to host leading the first day of the event".
The organizers also mentioned that the female MCs for the second day of the awards ceremony (November 17) will be announced soon.
In addition, the first artist lineup to participate in KGMA this year was also revealed, including NewJeans, NiziU, aespa, ATEEZ, ZEROBASEONE and Taemin.
