On October 15, the press conference of the TV series "Lan Thiet" took place in Hanoi with the participation of the crew including Meritorious Artist Mai Hien and a large cast of artists from People's Artist to young actors.
Hong Diem takes on the role of Deputy Director of the Procuracy. Up to now, the audience is still familiar with a Hong Diem in films about family. The female artist admitted that the difficulty in political films belongs to the dialogue, which is often very difficult, with many professional words that she does not use in life.
Sharing about her new role, Hong Diem revealed: When I received the invitation, I had many concerns. Up to now, the audience has always remembered my image associated with the film about family, facing family dramas, struggling in love. This is also the first time I have tried my hand at political films.
For this film genre, the common difficulty for the cast is the dialogue. Like director Mai Hien shared, the dialogue of political films is very difficult, with many professional terms that we never use in real life. That is what I need to overcome.
In particular, this role - a Deputy Director of the Procuracy - is the first position in my acting career. I was worried about whether I could show the charisma, serious demeanor and prestige of a leader or not. When I reviewed the trailer and the first excerpts, I still felt not really satisfied, especially in the commentary section. My voice is still not strong enough, not famous enough compared to the character's position, and that is something I have to strive to improve".
Currently, the film crew is still in the filming process. Hong Diem said she understands that there are many things that need to be learned from and tried harder. "Hopefully, when the film is officially released, the audience will accept and love this role as a new mark in my career journey," the actress shared.

In "Lan Tran", Manh Truong plays the role of Ngoc Trien, Chief of Office of the People's Committee of Viet Dong province, a confidant of Mr. Dinh Sach (NSND Trung Anh) since his time as Vice Chairman of the province. This is a shrewd and skillful character.
After 8 years, Manh Truong and Hong Diem reunite on screen. However, in the new project, the two only played close friends.
At the press conference, Manh Truong shared: At first, when I accepted the invitation to participate in the film and knew that I would be reunited with Hong Diem after 8 years, I was really excited. However, when she learned that the two sisters only played the role of best friends, not a couple or couple as many people expected, her emotions also eased somewhat.
Because they are close friends, the two characters do not have much intimate interaction, and the number of scenes filmed together is quite small. Who knows, in future developments, we could still stand on two opposing lines.
In response, Hong Diem revealed: "When asked if it was difficult to play best friends, I really thought it was easy. Because in real life, we are both very happy and close, so showing friendship in movies almost naturally happens. Even if I had to play a lover now, I would probably have to be more " Persistent", because love requires more complex emotions.
With the role of a friend, I feel completely comfortable, I just don't know if by the end of the film, the relationship will be strong or a little cracked."
After Sinds, Lan Ranh is the next film made by VFC in close coordination with the Supreme Peoples Procuracy to bring a tight and attractive political film.
The film revolves around the theme of the dividing line between good and evil, right and wrong. This is not just a story about criminal cases but also a belief in justice. The film touches on a topical theme, talking about big projects in a "flag" holding positions and rights during the period of merging and streamlining the apparatus.
The work of director Mai Hien brings together the cast including People's Artist Trung Anh, People's Artist Trong Trinh, Meritorious Artist Pham Cuong, Manh Truong, Hong Diem, Bao Anh, Tien Loc, Manh Cuong, Anh Dao, Huyen Trang...
The film is broadcast every Monday, 3, 4, 5, and 6 at 9pm on VTV1.
