On the afternoon of November 8, Xports News reported that Jisoo is speeding up the final preparations for her solo comeback this year. The female idol also plans to film a new MV this month.
Late last year, all four members of Blackpink did not renew their individual contracts with YG Entertainment. In February this year, Jisoo announced the establishment of Blissoo Company and began her solo activities.
Jisoo is mainly focusing on her acting career. She has completed filming for the drama “Newtopia” and the movie “Omniscient Reader’s Viewpoint,” which are scheduled to air in 2025. Additionally, Jisoo revealed that she will be filming her new drama “Monthly Boyfriend” in the winter, co-starring with Seo In Guk.
Meanwhile, the three members Lisa, Jennie and Rose focused on their music careers. Lisa released three solo songs, “Rockstar”, “New Woman”, and “Moonlit Floor”, and recorded many achievements. Jennie made an explosive comeback with “Mantra”. Rose caused a global fever with “APT.” featuring Bruno Mars.
Because of this, Jisoo was criticized for not being interested in singing and only acting.
Amidst the controversy, Jisoo's recent move has attracted attention. When answering a fan's question on Bubble, Jisoo hinted at a new music product.
Jisoo mentioned that she and the Blackpink members — Jennie, Rose, and Lisa — are not usually in the same country at the same time, so Jisoo doesn't always get to listen to their songs before they're released. But she did listen to Jennie's song first, since Jennie was in Korea at the time.
Jisoo then teased her fans, “I’ve listened to all of my songs. Are you jealous? It’s too early to say it’s coming soon, but it’s probably coming soon. I’ll listen to it alone then… I like that part the most… Do you know which part?”
The eldest member of Blackpink emphasized: “I will bring a lot of things. Let's enjoy and have fun together.”
The above revelations made fans speculate that Jisoo will release a solo album, not just a single.
Previously, Jisoo's most recent solo product was the single album "Me", including two songs "Flower" and "All Eyes On Me", released in March 2023.
