The Call Me by Fire concert in Hung Yen taking place on December 14 is expected to welcome tens of thousands of spectators.
The show was sold out after nearly an hour. Speaking to Lao Dong reporters, the audience who had bought tickets said they felt lucky to have the opportunity to meet 33 "talents".
Ms. Trang Nguyen (42 years old), who lives in California, USA, told the story of traveling more than 11,000 kilometers to attend a concert. Because she booked a flight ticket urgently, she paid 2,8000 USD (more than 70 million VND) for a round-trip ticket.
"I asked 12 relatives and friends in Vietnam to book concert tickets with me on the opening day. Luckily, only 1 person bought a pair of tickets so I could go to the concert. I only had 5 short days off to go back and forth, flying back and forth, but I felt lucky to have "worked hard" like that.
Because the flight was 24 hours long, I only got to rest for 1 day, go to the concert for 1 day, then had to get on the plane back to the US. My parents came to the US to visit me, but I left my husband, children, and parents at home to go meet my idol (laughs)".
Ms. Trang said that because she watched the show so much, her two children could not speak Vietnamese fluently but they sang along and learned more about the traditional culture of their homeland.
Even when he knew she was coming back to Vietnam to watch the concert, her husband stayed up all night to sew her outfit so she could bring it with her. "I ordered scarves, shirts, hats, and clothes to look like the Big Fish house of People's Artist Tu Long," the special audience member revealed.
Meanwhile, audience member Ky Duyen (25 years old, Gia Lai) is busy with a project to support and promote "talent" Duy Nhat at the concert on December 14.
"I live in Gia Lai, the cost will include airfare, accommodation, the total amount is about 7-8 million. For me, this amount is like the cost of a trip. Not only going to concerts, I also visit places I have never been to in Hung Yen or neighboring localities.
Supporting domestic artists is more convenient, audiences can meet them more easily, can communicate and understand each other better, especially the cost is not too expensive. When Vietnamese audiences support Vietnamese artists, I think it is a way to promote economic development - domestic tourism", Ky Duyen shared.
From Ho Chi Minh City to the North, Ms. Le Do Thai Ngan (35 years old) only had exactly 24 hours in Hung Yen because conditions did not allow her to stay longer. She spent 4.5 million VND on a round-trip air ticket; planned to spend about 2 million VND more on food and transportation; plus 1 million VND to buy concert items such as shirts, hats, etc.
In addition, Ms. Thai Ngan spent 3.5 million VND as gifts for the audience she met and interacted with at the show. Because she cherishes the feelings, connections and enthusiasm of the audience, 33 "talents" during the memorable summer.
"You can hardly find anywhere else an entertainment show that can make Southerners hum Dao Lieu, Northerners sing Da Co Hoai Lang together without missing a beat. From children to the elderly, everyone can sing along to Chiec Khan Pieu, as well as be captivated by the purple color and elegant court music of Mua Tren Pho Hue", audience member Thai Ngan emotionally talked about the wonderful things that the program brings.
After the Call Me by Fire concert was held in Hung Yen, many hotels and homestays in the area near Ocean Park 3 were fully booked. The high demand for transportation and accommodation forced many audiences to book rooms before buying concert tickets.
