On the evening of September 19, Victoria's Secret Instagram account announced that Kpop idol Lisa (Blackpink) is the next main performer for the music program of the famous lingerie show, which will take place on October 15, 2024.
Previously, the first two female singers announced by the organizers were Cher and Tyla.
The Blackpink singer will walk the catwalk on this important night alongside top models such as Gigi Hadid, Paloma Elsesser, Candice Swanepoel, Imaan Hammam, Tyra Banks… as they showcase the latest Victoria's Secret outfits, as well as outfits designed specifically for the show.
“The Victoria's Secret Fashion Show is such an iconic night in the fashion industry and I'm so excited to be joining so many amazing and powerful women for its return! It's going to be an amazing night,” Lisa shared.
This is the first time Victoria's Secret has had an all-female music show. Famous faces who have performed at this lingerie show include Taylor Swift, Ed Sheeran, Ariana Grande, Justin Bieber, The Weeknd, Lady Gaga, Selena Gomez...
This year's show, taking place in Brooklyn, New York (USA), will mark the return of the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show after a 6-year hiatus. The last year the show was held was 2018.
The 2019 show was canceled due to declining viewership and public backlash against the brand's perpetuation of unrealistic beauty standards.
