Le Giang and Tran Thanh are both known as the billion-dollar actors of the screen. They own many works that exceed billions and are attractive faces every time they appear at the Vietnamese box office.
Just considering Tran Thanh, for many years, he has always been considered a box office guarantee. The projects he has acted in or directed have all had high revenue. In 2024, his movie "Mai" was a big hit with 520 billion VND.
Another advantage is that although the content may not be very special, the movie "The Four Guardians" is considered suitable for audiences during Tet because it mainly brings laughter to viewers.
However, this project also has disadvantages. Audiences are debating the choice of topic as well as the acting of the young stars.
Nguyen Quang Dung and Thu Trang have their own strengths.
Also released in theaters with Tran Thanh's film are "Love by mistake for a best friend" by Nguyen Quang Dung and "Billionaire kiss" by Thu Trang.
Consider Nguyen Quang Dung's film alone. This is the only remake released this Tet season. The original work "Friend Zone" was produced in Thailand, causing a fever when shown in Vietnam in 2019, earning more than 53 billion VND.

In terms of advantages, the film has box office star Kaity Nguyen. After many “hundred billion” projects, the actress is a name that attracts young audiences to the theater.
This project is a remake of a popular Thai movie script. Therefore, "Love by mistake" will attract the audience segment who loves Thai movies to the theater.
In particular, the film is directed by Nguyen Quang Dung - a famous director in the Vietnamese film industry, so it is not difficult to achieve good revenue in theaters when shown during Tet. In addition, this film is invested by Tran Thanh. Therefore, it is not difficult for the film to benefit from Tran Thanh's support in promoting the project.
This year's Tet film race is more interesting as Thu Trang also joins. She is currently the only female director of the 2025 Tet film season with "Billion Dollar Kiss".
In terms of advantages, the project brings together a young cast of stars, attracting young audiences to the cinema. In particular, Thu Trang is also a box office name, so it is not difficult for this project to receive attention from viewers.
Thu Trang once shared: "Everyone sees Tran Thanh as a very big name, with a large fan base. But Tien Luat and I are also names with our own colors and audiences, so we are very confident."
However, a big concern for the film crew is that names like Thien An, Ma Ran Do... are all quite new, their acting is still a big question mark. If the young stars' acting is not attractive, it will greatly affect the film's revenue.
