10 years ago, Duc Phuc won the Voice championship under the guidance of singer My Tam.
After the competition, they still maintain a close relationship, accompany and encourage each other in their careers.
In 2022, singer My Tam humorously revealed that for the past 6-7 years, although they were close, because Duc Phuc called My Tam "her", the female singer felt "old", so she did not sing a duet or combine.
Duc Phuc said he called musician Duc Tri "anh", but for singer My Tam, it was always "her", because he wanted to show the solemnity and respect of his students for the teacher who helped the male singer be crowned in The Voice 2015.

After the competition, Duc Phuc said he chose the song "Phu Dong Thien Vuong" because he wanted to bring a story, a performance with strong Vietnamese identity. The singer proudly said that Phu Dong Thien Vuong is a symbol of the strength, resilience, and flexible spirit of the Vietnamese people.
From there, Duc Phuc and the crew thought about combining epic elements with modern music, creating a performance that was both close to Vietnamese audiences and brought a close breath to international music so that international friends could easily access and understand Vietnamese culture.
