The Mr World contest held in Vietnam is an opportunity to promote and introduce the country's culture to international friends.

The National Costume competition of Mr World took place in Phan Thiet, Binh Thuan, bringing 60 national cultural costumes.

The contestants brought a sublime visual feast, celebrating the unique beauty and diversity of cultures around the world.

Before the performance, Ms. Pham Kim Dung - National Director of Mr. World Vietnam - presented scarves and gift bags containing local specialties and Vietnamese cuisine to the national directors of the countries and families of the contestants who came to watch the performance.

The male contestants repeatedly said “I love Vietnam” during the show to express their gratitude for the warm welcome from the organizers and people of Vietnam.

At the end of the National Costume competition night, Mr World Indonesia's National Director said that this was a great competition. Regarding the gift from CEO Pham Kim Dung, he said he was impressed with the way Vietnam promotes its culture to international friends and was happy to experience Vietnamese cuisine and culture.

“I love Vietnamese culture and people. This is the first time I have had the opportunity to come to this wonderful country. This is also the first time I set foot in Phan Thiet. The nature here is wonderful,” said Mr World Indonesia Country Director.

In addition to the national directors, the families of many of the kings also came to Vietnam to watch the show. The mother of Mr World Philippines said she found it interesting to try on the traditional Vietnamese scarf.

“I see that scarves are very popular in Vietnam. I will bring it when I board the plane back to the Philippines,” she shared.

Mr World Belgium's mother also shared that she was happy that her son was able to perform on a high-quality, grand stage. She commented that wearing the traditional Vietnamese scarf was an interesting experience.

Ms. Pham Kim Dung said: “With the National Costume show, we give foreigners, including directors of countries as well as contestants’ families, a scarf embroidered with Vietnamese words. The organizers hope to create a uniformed team in the front row to watch the show. The image of Vietnam and Vietnamese culture are widely introduced to the international community. We are happy about that."

In addition, CEO Pham Kim Dung revealed that Ms. Julia Morley - President of the Mr World contest - was satisfied with the National Costume competition night.

“Throughout the show, she kept holding my hand to share that this was a great night. She said that everything about the weather, the sound, the lighting and the stage, the staging and order as well as the contestants’ energy made her feel very happy. This is not only meaningful for the show but also meaningful for the organizers’ efforts to promote Vietnam to the world,” CEO Pham Kim Dung added.

At the end of the National Costume night, the Vietnamese representative entered the top 20 Best in National Costume.

King Tuan Ngoc performed the design “Thach Long Hoa Khac” weighing 25kg. This is a passionate creation of young designer Ngo Hai Dang.
