Among the young faces that are expected to make a breakthrough in Say Hi Brother season 2, Dillan Hoang Phan is the name that is getting attention.
Born in 2000, Dillan is a contestant of Vietnamese origin, 1.76 m tall, fluent in 3 languages: English, Vietnamese, Korean. He was born in Hue but came to the US with his family when he was less than 1 year old.
Before entering the Vietnamese stage, Dillan had 3 years of internship in Korea, well-trained in vocal music, choreography and idol style.
Not hiding his ambition to become a global idol, Dillan has tried his hand at international playgrounds such as Asia Super Young 2023 and Starlight Boys 2024 (with CONGB, Do Nam Son). Although he has not gone deep, he still made a strong impression with a series of clips filmed by fans "causing a fever" on TikTok, especially the performance of " para para para Sakura" showing his ability to master the stage and attractive charisma.
In addition, Dillan also has the talent to compose in many languages. This is a factor that facilitates him to connect with foreign audiences.
Returning to Vietnam, Dillan chose Say Hi Brother season 2 as a launching pad for his artistic journey. He shared: "I hope everyone will accompany and support me on this journey. My dream is to stand on a big stage, and the show is an opportunity to do that.
At first, Dillan was quite surprised when integrating into the domestic music environment. He admitted that the appearance of his former friend CONGB, who also interned in Korea, helped him become more confident on stage. However, Dillan still has to overcome many challenges, especially the language barrier.
In Live Stage 1, the singer introduced to the audience the song "The Lover Is Not Born", in the same team as Big Daddy, B Ray, Phuc Du, Ogenus, Robber.
In episode 2, he was teased for "broken Vietnamese" while singing and had to practice pronunciation every day to improve. A teammate happily commented: Dillan seems to be learning Vietnamese again. That statement is both witty and shows the young stars constant efforts.
In Live Stage 2, he joined the same team as Cody Nam Vo, Hai Nam, Negav, and performed the performance "Da nghi".
With a bright appearance and highly appreciated choreography, Dillan is one of the 8 contestants with the highest individual scores in each performance, affirming remarkable progress.
In Live Stage 3, Dillan gained confidence when he was voted as one of the team captains.
Notably, his team gathered a group of young stars of season 2, including Ryn Lee, Lohan, Do Nam Son and Bui Truong Linh, promising to bring impressive performances in both image and energy.
