On the evening of August 24, the second general parade and parade celebration within the framework of the 80th Anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day on September 2 (mission A80) took place at Ba Dinh Square (Hanoi).
In the parade lineup, Meritorious Artist and designer Duc Hung took on the role of Head of the Block representing 54 ethnic groups - one of 13 groups participating in A80.
Sharing with Lao Dong newspaper reporters, designer Duc Hung expressed his emotion when participating in the important historical event:
When I was on the list of Hanoi artists participating in A80, I was very happy and proud. It felt like I had recalled my memories 30 years ago, when I was over 20 years old, I was honored to parade at the 50th anniversary of National Day on September 2. At that time, even though I had to wake up at 2am to concentrate, my heart was still extremely excited and nervous.

The designer recalled that for the first time parading, Duc Hung was able to walk with veteran names such as People's Artist Lan Huong and People's Artist Le Khanh. Three decades later, that feeling returned.
I was able to wear an outfit from one of the ethnic groups of Vietnam and walk with other artists and brothers. There is nothing to be proud of that national cultural foundation has been developed sustainably to this day. I only consider my presence as a very small contribution to the huge amount of work, Meritorious Artist Duc Hung shared.

Talking about the training process for A80, the designer said that the artists and performers all strictly follow the practice schedule, regardless of the rain: We practice from 7am to 11:30am and from 1:30pm to 5pm all day, but everyone is happy and joyful. Just the sound of music resounds, the national atmosphere has filled everyone's heart".
On the eve of the National Day, Meritorious Artist Duc Hung expressed his anticipation for the moment of the official parade through Ba Dinh Square on September 2.
The designer also expressed his wish to continue participating in parades and parades on the occasion of the 90th anniversary, even the 100th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2: "Maybe I am old at that time, but I will definitely still be enthusiastic to express the spirit of a Vietnamese person. I am proud to be a son of the Capital to participate in an important event of the country. I love Vietnam.
