On November 30, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism announced a list of 50 typical literary and performing arts works of Vietnam after the National Reunification Day (1975 - 2025), and launched the composition of literary and artistic works in the program "Forever with Time" for the period 2026 - 2030.
Deputy Prime Minister Mai Van Chinh attended and spoke at the ceremony.
The Deputy Prime Minister affirmed that over the past 50 years, literature and performing arts have become a bloody flow, a voice of conscience and the breath of the nation. Typical works of this period vividly reflect the country's journey to overcome the consequences of war, embargo, implement innovation and integrate internationally.
The announcement ceremony is not only an honor but also a deep gratitude to generations of artists who have preserved and passed on the works to become the spiritual heritage of the nation.
This is also an opportunity for the public to look back on the 50-year development of Vietnamese literature and performing arts.
50 awarded works are divided into 4 fields, 14 works in the field of literature, 18 works in the field of theater, 12 works of music and 6 works of dance.
Each prize is worth 30 million VND. Some authors have shared that they will give back a reward of 30 million VND to support people in the Central region affected by recent floods.
The list of 50 voted works includes 14 literary works such as "Dao tham" (Tran Dang Khoa), "Chang canh bat tan" (Nguyen Ngoc Tu), "Thoi xaang" (Le Luu)...; 18 stage works including outstanding plays such as the collection "Hoi Truong Ba, Da ban pho - Me and chung ta - The 9th oath" by Luu Quang Vu, "Bao ca tinh nuoc" (tao mat), "Rung canh" (Nguyen Dinh Thi), "Mua do" (Chu Lai)...; 12 musical works such as "Lay do" (Do Hong Quan), "Nhu co ho trong day vui ngan" (Pham Tuyen), "Dat truong vui vui (Hoang Ha), "Giao thuong" (Giao thuong "Dua chieu" (Hoa kim); "Dua kim", "Dua kim"...
Poet Tran Dang Khoa received the award for the poetry collection "Dao chim", among 14 literary works voted for. He emphasized that "The Sink Island" was written from a real story and this award is not an individual achievement but belongs to soldiers who are day and night guarding and protecting the sea and islands of the Fatherland. For him, important milestones do not only exist as iron and steel milestones in reality but are literary and performing arts works to bring sustainable value to future generations.
Writer Chu Lai was moved to share when receiving the award for the work "Red Rain" in the field of stage works. He said that Red Rain continues to be mentioned, adapted and brought to the stage (speaking, cheering) is also the way people holding a pen to repay the spiritual debt to their teammates who sacrificed.
For writer Chu Lai, many authors in Vietnam today over the age of 70 are still diligent in the "field of words" as the most sincere and profound answer to the historical changes that the nation has gone through.
Musician Tran Tien also shared that he will give back the 30 million VND bonus to people affected by floods in the past.
Also on November 30, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism launched the composition of literary and artistic works "Forever with Time" for the period 2026 - 2030, towards the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Party and the 85th anniversary of National Day on September 2.
The program aims to preserve and spread historical, cultural and national values through works of great stature, lasting over time; honoring the glorious journey of the Party, President Ho Chi Minh, the heroic history and achievements of the country.
All Vietnamese citizens at home and abroad, as well as foreigners living and studying in Vietnam, can participate, with works in the fields of literature, music, stage, dance... unlimited in quantity.
