Miss Thanh Thuy builds wells for Angola people
Miss International 2024 Huynh Thanh Thuy will be in Angola from August 2 to 8, implementing a community project to build a well, contributing to creating clean water for people in Angola.
On August 5, Thanh Thuy visited Vietnam Village - home to 17 households and 30 children of Angola in Ucua district, Bengo province.
Witnessing the scene of people lacking clean water, women having to walk far to carry water from the artificial stream, Thanh Thuy decided to build a well with all the funds paid for by her, hoping to help people have enough safe and hygienic water for daily use.
During the trip, the beauty was welcomed by Angolaans with dances and songs. Thanh Thuy gave Vietnamese vegetable and fruit seeds and received the potatoes, bananas, and vegetables they had grown.
Before that, the beauty queen met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Angola, visited the Vietnamese Embassy in Angola, and offered flowers in front of the monument to President Ho Chi Minh.
On August 7, Thanh Thuy attended the 50th anniversary of Vietnam - Angola diplomatic relations.
